So far, ‘Ahiru no Sora’ seems really good but it is still not a classic (yet). Apart from having a pretty consistent production value, what makes it so refreshing is how it realistically portrays the journey of an underdog team instead. I’m pretty sure that most viewers just assumed Kuzuryū High would easily win their practice match but now that you think about it, this season itself has a long way to go, so the anime is going to take its time with the development of the characters. So if you’re wondering how the team will now recover from this loss, make sure that you watch the next episode time. And to do that, read on further to know all about its next episode.

Ahiru no Sora Episode 21 Recap

The previous episode of ‘Ahiru no Sora’ ended with Sora shooting a three-point in the last few seconds of the game. For a few moments, it almost looked like the ball would go right in and his team would win, but unfortunately, his shot falls short and before anyone can get a rebound, they run out of time. Realizing that this was their last chance to prove themselves, Sora and the rest of the team feel demotivated. After the match, in the locker room, they also learn that the opposing team was not even using its best players against them. And throughout the match, while they made many substitutions, the opposing team made none at all. They call themselves losers and almost vow that they’ll never try playing again.

For the first time, even Sora does not say much at all and feels disheartened after the match. Even their coach curses herself for not coming up with a relevant strategy for them to win. Later in the episode, Nabeshima flaunts his baseball skills by hitting a home run against one of the best pitchers. Meanwhile, back at Kuzuryū High, Sora plays against Kenji’s team in the school’s local tournament. When Sora ends up winning the match, Kenji confronts him by saying that they would have won their match if he had played a similar game in their previous match. Sora takes this lightly and does not argue with him.

In the final moments of the episode, Sora almost confesses his feelings for Madoka but somehow stops himself. Madoka later tells him that she wanted to talk to him and even gifts him one of her bands. She assures him that in the game of basketball, height does not matter and he should be grateful for how he is. She then tells him that her band will serve as a good luck charm for him and will help him win his next match. Sora promises her that he’ll do his best to win.
