America’s Got Talent: The Champions Season 2 Episode 4 Recap:
The fourth episode of the second season of ‘America’s Got Talent: The Champions’ served as the fourth preliminary round of the competition. In this episode, Alesha is handed the golden buzzer responsibility which she can use to select any act and send it directly to the finals.
The first act is performed by Christian Stoinev who performs various balancing and strength acts with a rather adorable partner: a dog named Percy. The act brought smiles on the audience and judges’ faces and was deemed to be “perfect.”
Next, the vocal group, Voices of Service gave a stunning performance with their musical number. Their message, like always, was of hope and support to military veterans.
Followed by that, a 7-year-old stand-up comedian, JJ Pantano from ‘Australia’s Got Talent’ gave a rather humorous and cute performance, roasting each and every judge. And Terry Crews too!
Then, Emil Rengle danced in a latex bodysuit and high heels. However, Simon and Howie hit their red buzzer, deeming the act to not be good enough for ‘Champions.’ However, Alesha defended Rengle by saying that men probably do not understand the difficulty of dancing in heels.
However, it was the act after Rengle’s that won Alesha’s heart. The shadow dancing group, The Silhouettes told a rather moving story involving a girl and her pet dog. The act made most of the audience and judges teary eyed and Alesha selected the act to advance to the finals by using the Golden Buzzer.
Then, the violinist Brian King Joseph performed an original song composed by him. Next, 19-year-old Connie Talbot from ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ played the piano and received a standing ovation. Then, Sandou Trio Russian Bar performed a breath-taking acrobatic act, blindfolded!
Later, Bars and Melody gave a rap performance which did not seem to impress the judges too much. After that, Strauss Serpent showed a rather disconcerting act of human flexibility which was quite exceptional despite being painful to see.
Finally, based on the superfans’ votes, Strauss Serpent and Sandou Trio Russian Bar advanced to the semi-finals. The judges saved JJ Pantano with Simon and Howie voting for him to advance to the semis.
