How did Andy Cohen earn his money and wealth?

Andy Cohen is a talk show host, radio host, producer as well as an author who is from the United States. He was born on June 2, 1968, in St. Louis, Missouri to Lou and Evelyn Cohen who are Jewish. He is open about being gay and is the first gay host of a late night talk show in America. He studied in Clayton High School from where he graduated in 1986. He attended Camp Nebagamon for Boys in Lake Nebagamon, Wisconsin when he was a young child. He joined Boston University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in broadcast journalism. While studying in Boston University, he used to write for “The Daily Free Press”, the Boston University student newspaper.

Cohen began his professional career as an intern with CBS News and later went on to become the senior producer of “The Early Show” and producer for “CBS This Morning” and “48 Hours”. He spent 10 years with CBS after which in 2000 he joined the television network Trio. When Trio was purchased by Bravo television network, he became the vice president of original programming. He was the host of the nightly series “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” at Bravo TV since the summer of 2009. He was associated with Bravo for 10 years where he was the head of production and development until he resigned in November 2013.

Cohen has co-hosted shows such as “The View” and “Live! With Kelly” as well as made regular appearances on “Morning Joe” and “Today”. He has appeared as himself in “Saturday Night Live” and “The Comeback”. The pop singer Lady Gaga featured him as Zeus in her music video “G.U.Y.” in March 2014. He has also appeared in “Riverdale” (2018) and as a guest judge in an episode of the VH1 reality Tv series “RuPaul’s Drag Race”.

Cohen has written his autobiographical memoir and titled it “Most Talkative” which was released in May 2012 by Henry Holt and Company. It became a New York Times Best Seller in all the categories of a paperback, hardcover, and combined nonfiction. His second memoir “The Andy Cohen Diaries” was published in November 2014 which was again declared a Times Best Seller in the Combined Print & E-Book Nonfiction category. The inspiration for the title of his memoir came from the title of “The Andy Warhol Diaries”.

Cohen has hosted the Miss USA contest from 2011 to 2013 and Miss Universe pageant in 2011 and 2012. However, he declined to co-host the Miss Universe pageant in Russia in 2013 due to Russia’s recent adoption of anti-gay laws. A new radio channel was launched by SiriusXM called “Radio Andy” in September 2015 and featured two programs which were hosted by Cohen (“Deep and Shallow” and “Andy Cohen Live”.) Cohen and Anderson Cooper started a conversational stage show “AC2” for they have toured to more than 50 cities across the United States since March 2015 to July 2018.
