How did Axl Rose earn his money and wealth?
Axl Rose aka William Bruce Rose Jr. is a singer, songwriter, and music producer. He is known to be one of the greatest musicians of all time. Rose was born on February 6, 1962, in Lafayette, Indiana. He had a rough childhood where music was his solace. He sang from an early age and was part of the Church choir and school chorus. He also played the piano. He started a band with his friends during his school days.
Rose moved to Los Angeles in 1983 and joined Kevin Lawrence’s band “Rapidfire”. He had met him outside The Troubadour in West Hollywood. They a demo with four songs in 1983 but it was released as an EP in 2014 due to legal action. The EP was released as “Ready to Rumble”. He later parted ways from Rapidfire and formed a band with his childhood friend Izzy Stradlin and Chris Weber and called it “Hollywood Rose”. They recorded five songs for their demo and featured tracks like “Rocker”, “Anything Goes”, “Reckless Life” and Shadow of Your Life” in 1984. This was released as “The Roots of Guns N’ Roses” in 2004. At this point of time, drummer Steven Adler and guitarist Slash joined Hollywood Rose. Rose later joined the band “LA Guns”. Later after the merger of Hollywood Rose and LA Guns, Guns N’ Roses was formed as a band which consisted of Rose, rhythm guitarist Izzy Stradlin, lead guitarist Slash, drummer Steven Adler and bassist Duff McKagan. Before the band signed up with Geffen Records in 1986, the band attracted a loyal fan following as well as the attention of many major record labels. They released an EP “Live ?!*@ Like a Suicide” which included four singles in December 1986.
Guns N’ Roses released their debut album in 1987 and called it “Appetite for Destruction” and peaked at number 1 in the Billboards 200. It is one of the best selling debut albums of all time. They followed it up with many other album releases such as “G N’ R Lies” (1988), “Use your Illusion I” (1991), “Use your Illusion II”, “The Spaghetti Incident” (1994) and “Chinese Democracy” (2008).
Rose joined the rock band AC/DC in 2016 and toured with them in the “Rock or Bust World Tour”.
During his days of struggle as an upcoming musician, Rose took up odd jobs. He joined Tower Records as their night manager and he and Stradlin were paid $8 per hour for smoking cigarettes for a scientific study at the UCLA. Rose has been married once to Erin Everly but they divorced after a few years of marriage.
