How did Bobby Hurley earn his money and wealth?

Robert Matthew Hurley is the real name of Bobby Hurley. He is an American professional basketball coach and a former college and professional player. Bobby was born on Jun 1971 in Jersey City, New Jersey. He played at St. Anthony High School. There, his team won four consecutive Parochial B state titles. He lost only five games in high school and won the Tournament of Champions crown, ranking the school in no #1 position in the United States.

In 1989, he was renamed s McDonald’s All-American MVP. He stayed with the Kings until 1998. From 1989 to 1993, he played as a point guard for Duke University and was selected as a first-team for All-American. He won back-to-back national championships in 1991 and 1992.

In 1993, his professional basketball career began, when got selected by the Sacramento Kings as the 7th pick overall in the NBA Draft. He was also named as the NCAA Final Four Most Outstanding Player in 1992 and was a first-team All-American in 1993. He also made a contract with the new shoe company ITZ. During his first season, he was involved in a serious car accident but returned to play in the NBA for five seasons. In 2002, he was suggested as one of the 50 greatest players in Atlantic Coast Conference to the ACC 50th Anniversary men’s basketball team. He was also hired as a scout in 2003 by the Philadelphia 76ers. As Hurley is of Polish origin from his mother side, in 2006, he was admitted to the National Polish American Sports Hall of Fame, at Duke. He was also a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity.

After retirement, he became a thoroughbred racehorse breeder and owner. He also became a scout for the Philadelphia 76ers. In 2009, for defaulting on a $1 million loan taken to purchase a horse, he was sued by PNC Bank. In 2010, he became an assistant coach at Wagner and then in 2012 was the associate head coach at Rhode Island. In March 2013, he became head coach of the Buffalo Bulls men’s basketball team.  He coached the 2014–15 Bulls team to their first NCAA Tournament appearance. He also appeared in 1994 in the movie ‘Blue Chips’. He was hired as a head coach at Arizona State On 9th April 2015. He coached Buffalo to their first NCAA tournament appearance before becoming the head coach at Arizona State in 2015.

He owned Song and a prayer who won the 2001 Fountain of Youth Stakes. Currently, he owns Devil Eleven Stables and is the head coach of the Arizona State men’s team. He is the all-time leader to assist NCAA basketball. Today, through his career as a player and coach along with his ownership, he has a net worth of $8 million dollars. Coming to his personal life, he is married to Leslie since 1995, with whom the couple has three children.
