Not every villain is bad and Gentle Criminal’s story proves exactly that. And of course, even heroes are often forced to choose a lesser evil. Deku did empathize with Gentle, but in the end, he knew that Eri’s happiness matters a lot more to him than anything else. ‘My Hero Academia’ season 4 is almost coming to an end and to make sure that you’re updated with it, read on further to know everything about its next episode.

When is My Hero Academia Season 4 Episode 23 Release Date?

‘My Hero Academia’ Season 4 Episode 23, titled “Let It Flow! School Festival!”, will release on March 21, 2020. You can stream the English dubbed version of the anime on Crunchyroll and Funimation.

My Hero Academia Season 4 Episode 23 Spoilers: What to Expect?

As we had guessed, Gentle Criminal’s arc is more of a filler and does not really hold much significance in context with the overarching plot. In the 22nd episode, the battle between Deku and Gentle continues but Gentle saves his secret weapon till the very end. And what this secret weapon that he has never revealed till now? It’s his assistant La Brava. After Deku manages to bring him down, Gentle Criminal is forced to ask La Brava for help and that’s when she reveals her quirk. Turns out that La Brava’s quirk allows her to overpower someone she truly loves.

Realizing that Gentle Criminal has lost the battle, she uses her quirk to further intensify Gentle’s power and that’s when he gets back up again. But Gentle seems to have no clue who he’s dealing with. He tries to bring Deku down using his quirk but Deku refuses to give up. He gets back up again and tells Gentle that he has faced stronger opponents in the past.

All this while, Gentle was only using La Brava’s quirk to get himself out of tough situations, but this time around, he refuses to give up and continues fighting against Deku. He tells him that this next mission means a lot to him and he’s not only doing this for himself but for La Brava as well. To this, even Deku replies that he, too, is doing just to Eri smile. For him, being a superhero always has been about protecting others. With both of them not refusing to give up La Brava tries to hack her way into UA but her WIFI does not connect. When she gets closer to the school, the school’s security catches up with her. Soon after this, both Gentle and La Brava are captured and are taken away.

The next few episodes will again be fillers and probably won’t offer much apart from some feel-good moments. But even with filler episodes, ‘My Hero Academia’ very well knows how to develop our beloved characters and make it an enjoyable experience for most viewers. Eri will probably have fun for the first time in her life and we will finally get to see her smile. Overall, this season has been pretty tragic but a happy and satisfying ending lies ahead.
