Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 7 Episode 8 Recap:
In episode 8, the Pontiac Bandit, Doug Judy is back. But Jake discovers that his friend is getting married and he is not invited. Obviously, the news ends up hurting him. When Jake asks Judy the reason, the latter admits that he was worried Jake would start mixing with his criminal buddies. In an attempt to reconcile, Judy invites Jake to his bachelor party instead — under an alias. The whole group then reaches Miami for a wild celebration.
As expected, it is not long before Jake’s identity is revealed with the arrival of Trudy Judy. On the other hand, Jake learns that Judy’s friends have stolen diamonds and he guides them in reversing the heist. However, once the diamonds are safe, Jake calls in the cops and gets the gang arrested.
But here’s the twist! Apparently, Judy had planned the entire trip as he already knew that his friends would steal the diamonds and Jake would carry out his duty. Judy’s fiancee is a federal judge, and he wanted to avoid his criminal peers during the wedding. He also tells that he had always had only one name in mind when it comes to his best man at the wedding — and that’s Jake!
In the other subplots, Terry and Rosa try to replace an important business card on Holt’s desk, which was discarded by Terry. The duo is able to solve the issue, bringing this arc to a closure. Meanwhile, the rest of the characters are busy arriving at a decision regarding the new vending machine in their break room. Well, that’s all for this week! Tune in for some more crazy goof-ups in the next episode in the upcoming week.
