Caroline Kennedy was born on November 27, 1957, at New York City, New York, the U.S. and is an American author, attorney, and diplomat who served as the United States Ambassador to Japan from 2013 to 2017. She is a popular participant of the Kennedy family and the only enduring child of President John F. Kennedy and First Lady Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy.

Caroline Kennedy was a few weeks away from her 6th birthday when her dad was assassinated on November 22, 1963. Post this, Caroline, her sibling, and her mother settled on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, where she joined school. Kennedy completed her graduation from Radcliffe College and proved helpful at Manhattan’s Metropolitan Museum of Art, where she met her spouse to be, exhibit designer Edwin Schlossberg.

Kennedy joined The Brearley School and Convent of the Sacred Heart in New York City and finished the graduation from Concord Academy in Massachusetts in 1975. In 1988, she gained a Juris Doctor from Columbia Law School, graduating in the top ten percent of her category. Kennedy owns her mom’s 375-acre (152 ha) property known as Red Gate Farm in Aquinnah (formerly Gay Head) on Martha’s Vineyard.

Kennedy talked at the 2000 Democratic National Convention which took place in Los Angeles, California, the first time since the 1960 Democratic National Convention, where her dad had been selected by the Democratic Party for the presidency. Kennedy and other individuals of her family designed the Profile in Courage Award in 1989. The award is given to public officials or authorities whose activities illustrate politically brave leadership in the soul of John F. Kennedy’s book, Profiles in Courage.

On Jan 27, 2008, Kennedy declared in a New York Times op-ed piece entitled, “A President Like My Father,” that she would promote Barack Obama in the 2008 U.S. presidential election. Federal Election Commission reveals that Kennedy provided Hillary Rodham Clinton presidential campaign committee on June 29, 2007. She formerly provided a complete of $5,000 to Clinton’s 2006 senatorial strategy. On September 18, 2007, she provided $2,300 to Barack Obama’s presidential campaign committee.
