Criminal Minds Season 15 Episode 5 Recap:

The fifth episode of the fifteenth season of ‘Criminal Minds’ witnessed Matt and Luke battling a life-or-death situation. The duo almost died and fans could not have asked for anything more intense.

The episode begins with an unseen shooter killing random people. The BAU team are called in to investigate. They start to think that this could be the work of a copycat of a serial killer. Their investigation takes them to Illinois where they think a police chief might be the shooter’s next target.

However, it turns out that the shooter is not a serial killer’s copycat at all. In fact, he is the brother of a former criminal and gang member that the agents, Matt and Luke had put away. He just wanted to get the BAU team’s attention.

The shooter kidnaps Matt and Luke and the two find themselves tied and outnumbered. Luke wants to use himself as bait in order to get free. However, Matt manages to buy some time and frees himself of the handcuffs using a nail on the wall.

Matt and Luke fight the criminals. A shooter creeps up from behind and almost shoots Luke. However, Rossi arrives on time and saves them.
