How did Dan Haggerty earn his money and wealth?

“Dan” Haggerty was born on November 19, 1941. He was an American actor and stuntman best known for playing the lead role in The Life and Times of Grizzly Adams. Haggerty rose to stardom with his role in the movie, The Life and Times of Grizzly Adams, where he played the role of Grizzly Adams in 1974. In 1964, Haggerty featured in the movies, Muscle Beach party and Girl Happy. In both the movies, he played the role of a bodybuilder. He was a pet lover and he worked as the animal trainer in the Walt Disney movies. Because of his strong physique, he also worked as the stuntman on the TV show Tarzan.

He also appeared in the movie, Americana where he portrayed the role of Dog’s trainer. Haggerty appeared in many biker movies in that era where he played supporting roles. Haggerty not only worked as an actor but also acted as an infomercial spokesperson for many commercials. One such endorsement was of the Pap-Ion Magnetic Inductor, a device designed to have health benefits.

Haggerty played lead roles in the movies like Repo Jake (1990), Elves (1990), Grizzly Mountain (1995) and Escape to Grizzly Mountain in 2000. He also appeared as a character in Why Not Me? Al Franken’s novel.
Haggerty also starred in TV miniseries. In 1980, he appeared in Condominium, starring opposite Stuart Whitman, Barbara Eden, and Ralph Bellamy. In 1981, he also appeared on the famous sitcom, “Charlie’s Angels”, in episode 5 of the season 5 as ‘Bo Thompson.

Haggerty made a guest appearance on the show The Love Boat in 1983. His other roles include the attorney in Terror Night (1987), Cameron Mitchell in Night Wars in 1988. He also acted in horror movies like The Chilling in 1989 and Elves. In 2007, he appeared in the movie, Big Stan, where he played the role of Tubby and featured in the movie, Axe Giant: The Wrath of Paul Bunyan in 2013 in which he played the role of lumberjack foreman.

Haggerty has also provided his voice for many animated movies and can also be seen in some popular music videos.
Haggerty died in 2016 because of spinal cancer. He was first diagnosed with cancer in 2015 after undergoing back surgery after which he died in California. Before his death, Haggerty was last seen on the U.S. television show American Pickers in its episode “California Kustom”, which premiered on February 25, 2013. Haggerty married Samantha Hilton in 1984 and has two sons.
