How did Dick Wolf earn his money and wealth?

Richard Anthony Wolf was born on December 20, 1946, in New York City, New York, the U.S. to parents Marie G. (née Gaffney) who was a homemaker and George Wolf who was an advertising executive. Wolf is a 71-year-old American Television writer, director, executive producer and creator. He did his schooling at Saint David’s School, The Gunnery, and attended the University of Pennsylvania and belongs to the class of 1969 and also attended “ Phillips Academy”. He studied in the same class with former US President George W. Bush.

He has been married thrice, first, he got married to Susan Scranton in the year 1970 and marriage ended after 13 years, then he married Christine Marburg divorce in 1983 and has three children with her and ended in separation after 22 years in 2005. In 2006 he married Noelle Lippman.

He is the creator and executive producer of the “Law & Order franchise” and  “Chicago franchise”. He began his career as an advertising copywriter at “Benton & Bowles”, and created advertisements for Crest toothpaste and wrote their taglines and slogans. He then moved to Los Angeles and wrote screenplays, and one of his works produced in 1988 was Masquerade and this got good reviews and was well received by the public. he then wrote Hill Street Blues and this landed him in being nominated for his first Emmy awards.

Wolf’s Law & Order ran from 1990 to 2010 including Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, and Law & Order: UK and became the longest-running dramatic show and hence became one of the most successful franchise and has received the most consecutive nominations at Emmys Awards.

He was also the co-creator and Executive Producer of New York Undercover which was telecasted from 1994 to 1998 on Fox Broadcasting Company. In 2003 he produced “Twin Towers” a documentary about two brothers who lost their lives on duty in the twin towers on September 11th, 2001.” When You’re Strange” was another theatrical documentary co-produced by him.
