How did Donnie Edwards earn his money and wealth?
Donnie Edwards, born on April 6, in 1973, is a former American football linebacker from San Diego, California. Edwards was intelligent and shined in Athletics from a very early age. He used to play for the college and later for the Kansas City Chiefs. He played for Kansas City Chiefs and the San Diego Chargers in the National Football League (NFL for 13 seasons. He started his career as an All-American college student at the University of California, Los Angeles.
In the first stint with Chiefs in 1996, Edwards was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the 4th round of the 1996 NFL Draft. After leading the Chiefs in throws for four seasons, he signed the contract with the Chargers. In his first season with the team, he made the Pro Bowl in 2002 as an alternate. He was an opener for the Chargers since his joining of the team. From 2003-2005, Edwards averaged 154 tackles and made at approx. 100 tackles during the period of 1997–2005.
In the 2006 season, after recording half a sack against the Kansas City Chiefs, Edwards became only the 9th player in the history of NFL to become part of the 20-20 Club. At the finish of the NFL season of 2006, Edwards’ contract with the Kansas City Chiefs was allowed to expire, making him a free agent. In 2007 Edwards re-signed he 2-year contract with the Kansas City Chiefs after his 5-year stint with the San Diego Chargers. Edwards was set free by the Chiefs on February 24, 2009. When Edward took a retirement from football, he was holding totals of 23.6 sacks and 28 interceptions, just nine short by any linebacker in the history of NFL.
After retirement, Edward donates full time to the charity organizations and for promoting Football games all over the world. In San Diego, California, he also hosts an event ‘Dad’s Day with Donnie’. The event was organized to encourage children who were missing their fathers to spend one day with the professional athletes. Edward also provides help and support for the Child Abuse Prevention Foundation. Along with this, he also supports US military. Influenced by his Grandfather, who was involved in the World War II, he has participated in 7 United Service organization Tours.
Talking about his married life, Edward married Kathryn Edwards in 2002. Both appeared in the show The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in its 6th season. Edwards is also a certified yoga instructor and teaches lessons of yoga.
