How did Eddie Jordan earn his money and wealth?

Edmund Patrick “Eddie” Jordan was born 30 March 1948 at the Wentworth Nursing Home in Dublin, Ireland to parents Eileen and Paddy Jordan, he has an elder sister by name Helen. He is also known as EJ and is currently 69-years-old. Professionally he is a Businessman, former motorsport team boss, commentator, analyst, musician, television personality and a presenter as well. He began his career with working for the Bank of Ireland after pursuing a 6-week course in accountancy at the College of Commerce in Dublin. He is married to Marie (née McCarthy) since 1979 and together they have 4 children named Zoe, Miki, Zak & Kyle. he has houses in Wentworth, South Kensington, London, and Monaco and also owns a helicopter and a huge luxury yacht.

He is presently the lead analyst for F1 coverage on the BBC as well as the founder and owner of the Jordan Grand Prix. He is most famous for Formula One’s most charismatic team boss. He is the man behind the rise of many F1 racers like Damon Hill and Martin Brundle. And it was him who gave a break to Michael Schumacher and let make his first drive, however, he lost him to Benetton in a dispute over the contract.

In 1970, when he was on the Island of Jersey to spend his summers, he had his first unofficial race at the St Brelade’s Bay. The following year when he returned to Dublin, he purchased a kart and took part in the Irish Kart Championship and won it. From then on he kept upgrading and there has been no look back ever since, in 1974 he upgraded to Formula Ford and won the Irish Formula Ford Championship, the following year he moved to formula three, but suffered from a severe injury on his left leg. In 1977, he moved to Formula Atlantic and also won three races and the next year he won Irish Formula Atlantic Championship.

In 1979, he founded his own team named ‘Eddie Jordan Racing’ with drivers David Leslie and David Sears, the team raced at various events around the country. In 1983, his team’s primary driver Weaver took part in European F3 and Martin Brundle was also hired to race for the team and he finished second in British F3 and lost to Ayrton Senna.Jordan Grand Prix was founded by Eddie Jordan in 1991 and Anderson was the Chief Designer. And in 1998, at the Belgian Grand Prix, his drivers Damon Hill and Ralf Schumacher finished the race at first and second position. But the tram later declined due to the withdrawal of sponsorships and various other issues and finally, in 2005 it was sold out to Alex Shnaider, a Russian-Canadian businessman and he renamed the team as MF1 Racing in 2006.

Apart from business and racing, EJ plays drums and loves rock and roll music and has a band named V10. The cut down version of the band is called “Eddie & The Robbers” and they play at shows around the world. He is also interested in golf and horse racing. He is the owner of vodka brand ‘Vodka V10’ and energy drink brand ‘EJ-10’. He is also an active participator in charity events and causes like “CLIC Sargent”, which is a child cancer charity and also a supporter of Conservative Party. He is also a member of Royal Dublin Golf Club and the Royal Cork Yacht Club. “An Independent Man” which was released in May 2007 is his autobiography.
