While a new and exciting place holds a lot of promise, running into your ex there can make things very awkward. ‘Ex on the Beach‘ works on the premise where a group of people goes to an exotic location, and then their exes are thrown into the mix. As the show goes on, we see new people getting together, as the exes have an equal shot at happiness, along with the cast members.
Based on the British series of the same name, the new season is titled ‘Ex on the Beach: Peak of Love’, as the group heads to the mountains of Queenstown, New Zealand. The first two episodes dropped together, allowing us to see a host of new members, forming a very fascinating lineup. Some of them inevitably got up to antics like La Demi, whose childish behavior quickly resulted in an argument. However, the initial episodes were mostly about the people getting to know each other, which is where the third episode picks up from. As is expected, we see relationships going forward, and some heartbreaks taking place.

The official synopsis of the latest episode reads, “An ex who’s no stranger to snow joins the party, Laurel learns what kind of girlfriend Nicole is in the Sauna of Secrets, and Callum gets a lucky break in his love life.” When the episode starts, we see that Marlon, the genderfluid person from ‘The Real World: Portland’ hitting it off with Jakk. They might be bonding, setting the tone for the entire episode, which seems to revolve around the importance of communication.
Daniel of ‘The Bachelorette‘ does not seem to be in Nicole’s good graces, as she comments on him being intense enough to be ‘Dansexual’. Moreover, he seems to have a bone to pick with Callum, who appears to have hit it off with Georgia, of ‘Love Island‘, right away. Notably, almost every guy seemed to start hitting on Georgia from the start, so the possibility of jealousy is understandable. For someone who has a reputation for cheating, Callum is keeping it real with the ladies, especially Megan, telling her that they are friends since he wants to see how things go with Georgia.
The love triangle between Nicole, Allie, and Laurel comes to a head when Allie realizes that Nicole is out to break her heart. Nicole tells Laurel that she does not see things going with Allie outside the house, in an attempt to try and get back with Laurel. However, the result is that Allie and Laurel have a talk, giving each other the space to air their feelings. Allie also opens up to La Demi, who tones down the childish behavior and comes across as a compassionate person. Some cast members can be seen enjoying mimosas and a body painting incident, which is rather cringeworthy, honestly.
However, now we come to the big reveal of the episode, which can actually be guessed. Megan is the ex that gets iced, with Callum washing his hands off her. She is sent packing as we head to another exciting episode of ‘Ex on the Beach’.
