‘Fast and Furious 9’ is an upcoming American movie which is a part of the Fast and Furious franchise based on a series of action films that is largely concerned with illegal street racing, heists and espionage, and includes material in various other media that depicts characters and situations from the films. The movie will be directed by Justin Lin with a screenplay written by Daniel Casey and Chris Morgan.
‘Fast and Furious 9’ Cast
There has not been any confirmation as to who is returning to the franchise, but it is expected that Vin Diesel (Dominic Toretto), Michelle Rodriguez (Letty Ortiz) and Chris ‘Ludacris’ Bridges (Tej Parker) will be reprising their roles. After missing out on the last film, Jordana Brewster has also been confirmed to return as Dom’s sister Mia. It will be interesting to see how she is put back into the plot, since Mia was last seen retiring for a quieter life with Brian (played by the late Paul Walker). Dwayne Johnson’s appearence is on shaky grounds following his on-set spat with Diesel during the filming of the last movie.
There is a strong possibility of reappearance of Tyrese Gibson (Roman Pearce), Jason Statham (Deckard Shaw), Helen Mirren (Magdalene Shaw), Luke Evans (Owen Shaw), Lucas Black (Sean Boswell), Nathalie Emmanuel (Ramsey), Kurt Russell (Mr Nobody) and Scott Eastwood (Little Nobody).
‘Fast and Furious 9’ Release Date
The movie will hit the theaters on April 10, 2020 in the USA.
‘Fast and Furious 9’ Plot
The plot of the movie is not revealed yet and is very much under wraps. So we can only speculate only on the basis of what happened in the last movie. In the final scenes of the movie, Dwayne Johnson’s Hobbs is offered the chance to have his old law enforcement job back from Kurt Russell’s Mr Nobody. But Hobbs reveals that he has retired. Charlize Theron’s Cipher is still alive and surely plotting her next act. She might make a return at some point. Lucas Black’s Sean Boswell is expected to return after his cameo in part 7.
Vin Diesel has teased that the next installment of the Fast and Furious franchise will be “bigger” than its predecessor and might be set in Africa. Over the years, the Fast and Furious films have been set in different countries including Brazil, UK, Spain, Japan, Mexico and UAE, and Diesel has said in his interviews that the next movie might take them to Africa as it has been “long overdue”.
