When Does ‘Fate/Stay Night: Heaven’s Feel – III. Spring Song’ Come Out?

While most games to anime adaptations make you roll your eyes because of disrespectful they are to the source, every once in a while, a few anime shows come along and change your entire perception of visual novel adaptations. The ‘Fate’ franchise consists of some of the best visual novel adaptations, out of which, the first two ‘Heaven’s Feel’  movies are the most memorable ones. The good news is that the final film in this trilogy has now been confirmed and here’s everything you need to know about it.

Fate/stay night Heaven’s Feel 3 Release date: When will it premiere?

The first season of ‘Fate/Zero’ premiered on October 2, 2011 and with a total of 13 episodes, it finished airing on December 25, 2011. This was then followed by a second season which aired from  April 8, 2012 to June 24, 2012. Following this, ufotable Studio (‘Demon Slayer‘, ‘God Eater‘) released two sequel movies titled ‘Fate/stay night: Heaven’s Feel – I. Presage Flower’ and ‘Fate/stay night: Heaven’s Feel – II. Lost Butterfly’ which released on October 14, 2017 and January 12, 2019, respectively.

According to the anime’s official website, the final installment of this movie trilogy, titled ‘Fate/stay night: Heaven’s Feel 3, which was initially set up to release in April 2020, has been delayed because of the COVID-19 outbreak and its new release date has not been announced yet. As soon as we get any confirmed news regarding its release, we’ll update it here.

Adapting the final ‘Fate/Stay Night’ arc of the original visual novel, the film is directed by Tomonori Sudou who has also directed a few other installments of the franchise including ‘Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works‘, ‘Fate/Zero’, and also the other two movie installments. Yuki Kajiura is composing the music for the film and Takahiro Miura is responsible for its storyboard.

For now, ‘Fate/stay night: Heaven’s Feel – III. Spring Song’ will only be releasing in theaters on March 28, 2020, and no details regarding its streaming availability have been disclosed. But the film should be available on popular anime streaming platforms by the end of this year. You can stream ‘Fate/Zero’ on Netflix, Crunchyroll, and AnimeLab with its original Japanese audio and English subtitles. The English dub of ‘Fate/Zero’ is available on Funimation. The subtitled version of the second season of ‘Fate/ Zero’ is available on Netflix and Crunchyroll.

When it comes to the movies, as of now, they’re not available on any legal streaming platforms but you can purchase the DVD Bluray version of ‘Fate/stay night: Heaven’s Feel – I. Fate/stay night Movie: Heaven’s Feel 3 Plot

According to the official website of the anime, the third film is an adaptation of the third route of the visual novel game ‘Fate/stay night’ which is also commonly referred to as Sakura Route. This new chapter in the series finally reveals the truth about the Holy Grail Wars and brings closure to Sakura Matou and Shirou Emiya. The movie will again revolve around the Holy Grail War where Mages (Masters) and Heroic Spirits (Servants) join forces with another to battle against others like them for the ultimate award of the Holy Grail—”omnipotent wish-granting container.”

With his servant Rin Tohsaka, Shirou will throw himself into the war to bring an end to it and in turn, he’ll save Sakura Matou. While he’s at it, Illyasviel von Einzbern, who is one of the few people who are well aware of the truth of the war, will be forced to face her own destiny and Zouken Matou will try to fulfill his own wishes using Sakura. In the end, the war will come to an, but not before a final ultimate battle that will change everyone’s life.
