Enen No Shounoutai Season 2: Premiere Date, Plot, Characters

There are a lot of things that can be said about ‘Fire Force’. From its huge cast of characters to its blazing action scenes, ‘Fire Force’ has its own ups and downs during its runtime. Starting off with its flaws, its biggest problem is that it introduces quite a few female characters for the sole purpose of fan service. And in an anime that seems to be more or less of a tribute to the heroic antics of real-life firefighters, the fan service is a little unnecessary. But what makes you admire this anime is its amazing free-flowing action scenes and its hard-hitting serious moments.

Even the world-building is highly captivating and gives you a very mysterious vibe that keeps you engaged throughout. Regarding the sound department, there is nothing too great about its soundtracks but the sound effects during battles are amazing and make the overall viewing experience a lot better.

If you’re expecting its fight scenes to be more like that of ‘Soul Eater‘, you will surely be disappointed. But if you’re in for some serious fast-paced action scenes, you’ll love every minute of this anime. The anime has a very different tone compared to ‘Soul Eater’ and its focus goes more on presenting a serious story. There is, of course, a lot of room for improvement but the solid base that its season one has already created will be beneficial for its coming seasons.

Overall, I would highly recommend this anime to anyone who loves intense shounen anime shows with high production values. For those who have already seen its season one and are waiting for its renewal, we might have some good news for you in the next section.

Fire Force Season 2 Release Date: When will it premiere?

‘Fire Force’ Season 1 premiered on July 6, 2019, and aired a total of 24 episodes. The first season of ‘Fire Force’ did really well and its rating is slightly above average on most popular anime platforms.

As far as the next season goes, what we know is that the mangaka is consistently creating more chapters. The anime creators will easily have enough content to produce a season 2 by 2020. If you don’t already know, the same manga artist created ‘Soul Eater‘, which ended after a total of 25 volumes. Taking that into account, we can assume that even ‘Fire Force’ will have somewhere close to 30 volumes. We are still waiting for an official confirmation, but we expect ‘Fire Force’ Season 2 to release sometime in July 2021. In the meantime, do check out other similar action anime.

Shinra Kusakabe is a young boy who possesses the ability to manipulate the flames and at the same time, retain his human form. She is extremely loud and vulgar on the battlefield and wears the bare minimum for the sake of wearing a uniform. He is very confident and always believes in his ability. He is also proud of his dreams of becoming a hero and does not hesitate to act when the time calls for it. During battles, he comes off as a little offensive a lot of times but this approach usually works in his favor. He even tries to takes a step back from all of his battles and thinks a lot before taking any big decisions.

Akitaru Oubi

Akitaru Oubi is the captain of the Special Fire Force Company 8. Unlike most other members on the team, he does not possess any special abilities but he still takes the responsibility of leading everyone and face the Infernals head-on. He has a very strong sense of justice and firmly believes that all evil-doers should be punished.

Maki Oze

Maki is another soldier of the Special Fire Force Company 8 and is known for her cool and attractive personality. Though she’s really kind to everyone, when it comes down to fighting, she is one of the strongest people on the team. She also uses her abilities for fun and often creates fire creatures out of flames. She has a complex about her overly muscular body and even her fellow Fire Soldiers tease her by calling her all kinds of names. As a second-gen soldier, she can control flames from a very long distance and can easily take on two third-gen fighters at once.
