How did Future earn his money and wealth?
Future, real name Nayvadius DeMun Wilburn, was born on 20 November 1983 in Georgia, US. He went to the Columbia High School. In his childhood days, Future was a member of the musical collective known as ‘The Dungeon Family.’ Here, he was given the nickname ‘Future’ which continued to be with for the rest of his life. His cousin, Rico Wade, was the one who encouraged him to pursue a career in rapping.
Future is not only an American rapper but is also a singer, songwriter and a record producer. From 2010 to 2011, he released several mixtapes such as ‘Dirty Sprite,’ ‘1000’and ‘True Story.’ In September 2011, he went on to sign a major record deal with Epic Records as well as A1 Recordings. After signing the deal, he released his next mixtape ‘Streetz Calling.’ Later in January 2012, Future came up with yet another mixtape with the titled ‘Astronaut Status.’ Future released his debut album ‘Pluto’ in April 2012 which includes remixes of ‘Tony Montana’ and ‘Magic.’ In January 2013, Future released the compilation mixtape ‘F.B.G.: The Movie’ which featured music artists Slice9, Young Scooter, Maceo and Mexico Rann. The mixtape went on to be a huge hit and was certified platinum.
After the release of the mixtape, Future later announced the coming of his second studio album titled ‘Future Hendrix.’ However, he later changed the title the album to ‘Honest’ which was released on April 2014. Between the year 2014 to 2015, future released three mixtapes, ‘Beast Mode,’ ‘Monster,’ as well as ‘56 Nights.’ All of these mixtapes earned critical appreciation and acclaim.
Future’s next successful album titled ‘DS2’ was released in July 2015 which went on to rank at 1 position in the Billboard 200, Billboard Hot Rap Songs and Billboard R&B. The album alone sold more than 334,000 units in the United States. In January 2016, he released another mixtape with the titled ‘Purple Reign’ immediately followed by his fourth studio album titled ‘EVOL.’ With the release of this album, Future became known as the fastest growing music artist to have three of his albums peaking at number 1 position in the Billboard 200 chart.
Apart from mixtapes and albums, some of the singles by Future which were certified gold or even higher by the RIAA include ‘Move That Dope’, ‘Turn On the Lights’, ‘Where Ya At’, ‘Jumpman’, ‘Fuck Up Some Commas’, ‘Mask Off’and ‘Low Life.’ Future released his eponymous fifth studio album in February 2017 after which he went on to the released sixth album titled ‘HNDRXX,’ both of which were major hits.
