William Gary Busey is an actor born in the year 1944 at Goose Creek at Texas, U.S. He was the son of Delmer Lloyd Busey and Sadie Virginia. His interest in acting sprouted while he was at the Pittsburg State University for the football based scholarship. Busey is a character actor from America who has been seen in more than 150 movies which include “Predator 2”, “Under Siege”, “Point Break”, “Lethal Weapon”, “Carried Away”, “The Firm”, “Black Sheep”, “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas”, “Lost Highway”, “Piranha 3DD”, and “The Gingerdead Man”. Apart from being a part of numerous movies, Busey has also been a part of many television series such as “Texas Ranger”, “Scrubs”, “Gunsmoke”, “Walker”, “Entourage”, and “Law & Order”. For the movie “The Buddy Holly Story”, Busey was nominated by Academy Award in the category of “Best Actor” in the year 1978. Busey played the role of Buddy Holly for the movie. He also bagged the Best Actor tag by the “National Society of Film Critics Award”. He also starred in a couple of Amazon Fire TV advertisements in the year 2014.

Busey started his career in show business as a drummer for “The Rubber Band”. He has been credited by Leon Russell in several of his recordings for playing drums while under the name “Teddy Jack Eddy” as well as “Sprunk”. In the year 1976, Barbra Streisand hired Busey to play the character of Bobby Ritchie who would be the road manager to the character played by Kris Kristofferson for a remake movie named “A Star is Born”.

Busey also starred in a Comedy Central based reality show named “I’m With Busey” in the year 2003. He also gave voice to his character for an episode in the animated series “The Simpsons”. He also appeared in a miniseries “Into the West”. Busey was also a part of the controversial movie named “Valley of the Wolves: Iraq” which was a Turkish movie released in the year 2006. The movie was charged with fascism, anti-Semitism, and anti-Americanism.

In 2015, he competed in the 21st season for the reality show “Dancing with the Stars” where he was paired alongside Anna Trebunskaya who was a professional dancer. The professional couple together made it to the 4th week of the competition followed by elimination at the 10th position.
