How did Geoffrey Zakarian earn his money and wealth?

Geoffrey Zakarian was born on 25th July 1959, in Worcester, Massachusetts, USA. He attended Burncoat High School and also went to Worcester State University. He got his degree in culinary from Culinary Institute of America. He started his career at Le Cirque, under the chef Daniel Honour from 1982 to 1987. Later in 1990, Zakarian became the executive chef at 44, located at the Royalton Hotel in Manhattan. He then worked in many restaurants as an executive chef. His restaurant Country was opened in 2005 at Madison Square Park. He is now the executive chef of Lamb’s Club in New York City.

Zakarian appeared as a judge in the reality-based cooking television game show series Chopped. The show began in 2009 and aired on Food Network. He also appeared in Food Network’s show 24 Hour Restaurant Battle. He then appeared on a reality television cooking competition Hell’s Kitchen as a judge which premiered on Fox. In 2010, Zakarian competed on Iron Chef America on Food Network. He faced Masaharu Morimoto in the competition but lost. The following year he won The Next Iron Chef defeating Elizabeth Falkner. In 2014, Zakarian co-hosted Food Network’s cooking-themed talk show The Kitchen alongside Jeff Mauro, Katie Lee, Marcela Valladolid and Sunny Anderson. The show continues and in 2017 it’s the fifteenth season aired on Food Network.

In 2015, Zakarian was featured in the food-themed reality show Top 5 Restaurants, in which top dishes in the US were brought to taste to rank from top to bottom. The same year he was a judge in cooking game show Chopped Junior hosted by Ted Allen and aired on Food Network. The show pits four teenage contestants competing to win $10,000.

In 2016, a spin of to the show The Kitchen was aired on Food Network namely Kitchen Sink. Zakarian appeared on the show as one of the chefs to teach cooking to the viewers.

Zakarian was a judge on Cutthroat Kitchen as a judge in “ Well, Hot Calm!” and appeared as a contestant in “Judging Judges”. In 2016, he began hosting Cooks vs. Cons, a show on Food Network in which judges decide whether the dish is made by a professional chef or a home cook.
