How did George Strait earn his money and wealth?

George Strait, real name George Harvey Strait, was born on 18 May 1952 in Texas, US to Doris Couser and John Strait. His parents divorced when George was young. Later, his father raised him and his younger brother while his mother moved with away with George’s sister. George went to Pearsall High School where he joined a rock and roll garage band. He soon developed an interest in country music. In the year 1971, George enrolled in the US Army and after being honorably discharged from there; he went to Southwest Texas State University and earned a degree in agriculture.

George Strait is not only an American country music singer but is also a songwriter, actor as well as a music producer. While he served in the army, stationed at Hawaii, George started performing along with the army sponsored music band called as ‘Rambling Country’ which also performed off base having the name of ‘Santee.’ Later, while George was studied at the Southwest Texas State University, he enrolled in the country music band called ‘Stoney Ridge’ and served as the vocalist. He instantly became the leader of the band and renamed the band by giving the name ‘Ace in the Hole.’

George’s band performed all through the south and central Texas and earned a lot of local followers. Soon, George received the chance to record several songs which he had written; however, the songs could not earn wide recognition. After struggling for years, George finally penned his first solo contract along with MCA Records in the year 1981 due to the help of his friend, Erv Woolsey. The same year, George released his first single titled ‘Unwound’ which was listed under the top ten Hot Country Songs. In the following decade, George recorded 17 subsequent number 1 songs which includes ‘Does Fort Worth Ever Cross Your Mind’, ‘Strait from the Heart’, ‘Ocean Front Property’, ‘Something Special’, as well as ‘Beyond the Blue Neon’.

He released his 10th studio album titled ‘Livin’ It Up’ in the year 1990 which was followed by his next album ‘Chill of an Early Fall’ in the year 1991 and ‘Holding My Own’ in the year 1992. George made his acting debut with the 1992 movie ‘Pure Country,’ directed by Christopher Cain. However, the movie failed at the box office. He later released several albums in the subsequent years such as ‘Easy Come, Easy Go,’ ‘Blue Clear Sky’, ‘Carrying Your Love With Me’, as well as ‘One Step At a Time’.

The year 2006 marked his 30th year in the music industry and to celebrate the occasion, George released a new album ‘It Just Comes Natural’ which contained 15 new songs.
