Golden Globes 2020: Full List of Nominations

The nominations for the 77th Golden Globe Awards were announced today. While one would argue that most of the nominees were on expected lines, there’s no denying that some major shockers were also in store. Over time, we have come to expect that from Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA), which comprises of 90 journalists from around the world, and are known to pander to big movie stars.

Golden Globe Best Picture nominees include top Oscar contenders like “Marriage Story,” “The Irishman,” and “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.” Though, presence of “The Two Popes” is mildly surprising, it wasn’t unexpected. Similarly, in Best Actor category, Jonathan Pryce had an outside shot but he made the top five on the expense of Robert De Niro. On the television side of things, the exclusion of “When They See Us” is shocking to say the least. Though, I am happy that “Unbelievable”, arguably 2019’s best tv show, made the list of Best Miniseries. Anyway, here’s the full list of Golden Globe nominations.
