Haikyuu!! Season 4 Episode 12 Recap

Karasuno wins their first match at the Nationals and moves onto the next round. The team celebrates its win and is also joined by the crowed that supported them throughout the match. Daichi also feels grateful that all the previous members of the Karasuno were there cheering for them. In the meantime, even Nekoma manages to win its first match and just like Karasuno, it moves to the next round. At the smaller court, Bokuto seems to be low on motivation as he wanted to play the first match in the main court. Even so, Fukurōdani still manages to win after Bokuto puts his head in the game.

Yamaguchi and Hinata run into  Hoshiumi and an intense staring competition ensues between them. Since Kageyama was previously at the Nationals Youth Camp, he seems to know him and introduces him to others. Hoshiumi then shows a lot of interest in Hinata’s height, position and other skills but that’s when one of his teammates shows up and he leaves for his upcoming match. During his match, Hoshiumi flaunts his amazing skills to everyone around him and even the commentators call him the “Small Giant.” Since Hinata is also a short player like him, he feels really motivated after watching his game and feels grateful that he made it to the Nationals to experience something so great.

On their way back to their hotel, Karasuno ends up meeting Nekoma, one of their sworn enemies on the court. They greet them and then head to their lodging to get some rest after their long tiring day. While the rest of the team prepares for the next match, Tanaka gets to catch up with his childhood friend, Kanoka Amanai. In the next episode, Karasuno will face the runner-up of the Interhigh Tournament, Inarizaki High. Knowing that their opponents are pretty strong, the boys will have to bring their A-game and also keep an eye on Atsumu Miya who attended the Youth Training Camp with Kageyama.
