HarmonQuest Season 3: Premiere Date, Characters, Plot

HarmonQuest is a live improvisation American adult animated television show that has been conceptualized and conceived by Dan Harmon and Spencer Crittenden. The former is a creator, writer and producer of well-known shows like Rick and Morty and the Community while the latter was an audience in the show but became a regular show and now heads the show. The name of the show was named after its creator Dan Harmon but he later admitted that he felt it was a mistake naming so.  The name had started as a working title and stayed anyway. The other characters in the show are played by Dan’s ex-wife Erin McGathy and Jeff Davis. These four are the main characters and then there are guest characters played by different people in each of the 23-minute episodes. The show is based on half animation and half live action which is unique in itself.

The first season of the show was released on 14th July 2016 and was enjoyed by the audience owing to its humorous streak. The success of the first season led to Seeso renewing the series for a second season on 19th October 2016. With the uncertainty revolving around Seeso’s future, HarmonQuest’s rights were sold to VRV streaming service of OtterMedia. The second season of the series finally aired on 15th September 2017. The season featured Janet Varney, Kumail Nanjiani, Paul Scheer, Elizabeth Olsen, Jason Mantzoukas, Rob Corddry, Patton Oswalt, Gillian Jacobs, Aparna Nancherla, and Rory Scovel as guests. Each of the guests in the second season had their own funny and awkward names to go with. Some of the names are Tech Powers, Hawaiin Cofee, Eddie Lizzard, Tedder Spice, James Dean, Deepak Chopra, Teflonto, Chadge, Captain Rib Sachez, Dildo Bogpet, Hohn Jogman. HarmonQuest was positively received and applauded by its audience for its uniqueness.

HarmonQuest Plot:

It’s an onscreen Dragons and Dungeons Show. There is nothing wrong being nerdy or goofy for the characters. The story starts with the four main characters fighting over and commenting on their body flaws like all good friends do so in telling the truth to each other. It’s quite relatable. HarmonQuest is a live improvisation, animated television series and is considered in the Dramedy category of programming. The American Adult show consists of Dan Harmon, Erin McGathy, Jeff B. Davis and the game master Spencer Crittenden who perform a fantasy role-playing in front of a live audience. The show is held at Victory Studios in Glendale. In each episode of the show, a special guest player is invited on the sets. The Starburns Industries then convert the story used in each episode into an animated episode. The series thus involves a mix of animated as well as live action. So those of you who are interested to watch the comedians improvise themselves as they go should surely watch this series. Also, to see the imagination of the players come out in animation would be a wow experience and will be worth applauding and worth watching.

If you enjoy listening to funny stories if you live watching improvisation and enjoy adventures like scary people, large forests, demons, then this show is for you. It’s not necessary for anyone to have a tabletop gaming experience to watch this show. Try it. One is sure to enjoy the experience and the uniqueness of the show.  We all live a story to be told and overall we all love stories in which the inner ability of a person, may it be comedy or strength, comes out.
