When you dream of starting your own business, the decision to make the switch is not easy. The uncertainty of leaving a secure job and a comfortable life definitely has its risks. In fact, launching your own venture is a high-stakes gamble. And Discovery’s reality series, ‘I Quit’, approaches this very subject. It follows a bunch of entrepreneurs as they risk it all to embrace their passion. The journey begins after leaving a 9-5 job and saying the words ‘I Quit’.

When the show dropped on Discovery, it was praised by viewers, especially those who hold a dream of launching their own start-ups. Part inspiration and part drama, ‘I Quit’ was praised for its new concept (which does have a little resemblance with the theme of ‘Shark Tank’). But will it be as successful as the ABC superhit? Does it hold the scope to spawn another season? Let’s get started.

I Quit Season 2 Release Date:

‘I Quit’ season 1 premiered on August 18, 2020, on Discovery Channel. It wrapped up with its eighth episode on October 3, 2020. The show’s first season was appreciated by fans of reality dramas, as well as, viewers who are interested in seeing the ups and downs in the lives of entrepreneurs. Since the concept is quite fresh, it is very likely that Discovery will want to experiment with their luck with a follow-up season. And if that happens, we can expect ‘I Quit’ season 2 to release sometime in Summer 2021.

I Quit Season 2 Cast: Who Can be in it?

‘I Quit’ season 1 revolves around six sets of entrepreneurs who take the brave decision of ditching their high-paying jobs and retirement plans — to set new businesses of their own. In this difficult journey, they take the help of three successful business leaders who have climbed up the ladders of success on their own — Harley Finkelstein, Shopify’s COO; Debbie Sterling, GoldieBlox’s CEO; and Tricia Clarke-Stone; co-founder and CEO of WP Narrative. We expect the team of mentors to remain unchanged in the next edition,

Among the entrepreneurs in season 1, we have newlyweds Matteo and Julie who want to launch a versatile attire company. Parents Mike and Gloria aim to build a BBQ sauce business while best friends Ashanti, Jasmine and Tyshemia are aiming to disrupt the wine industry. BFFs and fathers to 10 kids, Marcus and Chris have risked everything to launch an outdoor cooler company. But they face a bad market right from the start. Alex and Sibrena are a couple from New Jersey who buys a semi-pro soccer team but lose out on all their finances.

Jen is the daughter of a Brazilian immigrant who dreams of introducing the famed Brazilian truffle brigadeiros, alongside her husband Jesse. The entrepreneur (s) who is able to showcase the maximum potential of their business receives a cash prize of $100,000. Season 2 is expected to follow the journeys of a fresh set of ambitious entrepreneurs.
