‘In Another World With My Smartphone‘ is another one of those modern Isekai anime with shoddy cliched characters, overpowered protagonists and typical storylines. But what makes this one a little better than all the others is how it juxtaposes bad shows with its good writing. Undeniably, it is not for those who are completely starting to despise the whole Harem Isekai genre. But what makes it slightly interesting is how it attempts to break the status quo of other similar anime and also presents newer ideas in its second half. And not to mention, somewhere around the end of season 1, it also hints the involvement of mecha in the future. So that again is something many fans can look forward to. In Another World With My Smartphone Season 2 Release Date: When will it premiere?
‘In Another World With My Smartphone’ season 1 premiered on July 11, 2017 and with a total of 12 episodes, it ended on September 26, 2017. Since then, many anime fans have highly anticipated the series and though it has all kinds of typical Isekai tropes and harem hijinks, the series has been received fairly well. Plot-wise, the show had a very slow start but in the meantime, its original source material took a huge leap and now deals with fairly new genres that revolve around mecha robot battles. So all anime lovers have something big to look forward to.
Also, considering that the first season ended with a lot of loose threads, a second season will probably pick on all of these. As of this publication, Production Reed, the Studio which has animated ‘In Another World With My Smartphone’, has not made any official claims regarding the anime’s renewal. However, based on our speculation, Production Reed can easily create a whole new 2-cour 25-episode season. In Another World With My Smartphone Plot:
‘In Another World With My Smartphone’ centers Touya Mochizuki, an ordinary, who gets stuck by lightning one day and dies. To this, God himself confesses that he accidentally ended up killing and will give him a second chance to live his life in a new fantasy world. Touya accepts the offer and also asks him if he can keep his smartphone with him in his new world. God lets him keep his phone and Touya sets out on an adventure of a lifetime.
Fascinated by all the fantastical elements of his magical world, Touya instantly feels at home but to his frustration, he soon starts to get a lot of unnecessary attention from cute magical girls. While he somehow tries to dodge these romantic frustrations. he also starts to discover some deep secrets of his new world.
In Another World With My Smartphone Characters:
Touya Mochizuki
Touya, who was once an ordinary young boy, gets transported to a fantasy world after he ends up dying in the real world. He takes his smartphone with him and later also realizes that he has been recreated from the Divine Realm which allows him to have superior magical abilities. In appearance, he has short jet black hair and black eyes. Initially, when he arrived in the new fantasy world, he was wearing a school uniform but later he sports a black tunic with trousers and shoes.
Touya is a forgiving person and does not hold any grudges against god when he accidentally ends up killing him. Later in the series, he also forms a very deep friendship with God where the two of them keep sharing the highlights of their life with each other. He never holds himself back when it comes down to helping others. And when helps the people around him, he keeps a very altruistic attitude where he expects nothing in return. Touya experiences a major transformation in his belief system after he becomes a part of this new world. The more he adapts to his new world, the more he starts to forget about his morals from the previous world.
Hildegard Minas Lestia
Hildegard Minas Lestia is one of Touya’s wife who is also the first princess of the Kingdom of Lestia. She is a strong young knight who has a slender build and is really good at using her katana. She is known to be extremely chivalrous and always talks in a very formal tone. When it comes to her romance with Touya, she never really holds herself back and openly shows how much she admires him.
Lucia Rea Regulus
Lucia is another one of Touya’s wives who is the princess of the Regulus kingdom. In appearance, she is a beautiful young girl who has green eyes and neck length silver hair. She is very competitive and hates it when she loses. She’s also really good at cooking.
Yumina Mochizuki
Yumina is also Touya’s wife and is also the first girl who got engaged to him. When it comes to her appearance, she is a very cute girl with long blond hair and big light blue eyes. She comes from a very royal background and makes sure that she always presents herself that way. She is quite cheerful and is also polite to almost everyone around her. Despite being a princess, she is quite bold and a lot of times, she does not think twice before acting out.
Leen
Leen is a 600-year-old fairy who is also one of Touya’s wives. Despite being so old, she looks really young and hates the fact that she does not age at all. She has more of a gothic sense of style and wears a blue lolita dress. She drops expensive things on purpose and gets some weird sadistic sense of pleasure out of it.
