Irv Gotti was born on June 26, 1970, at Hollis, Queens, New York City. He is an American television producer, record executive, R&B and Hip Hop record producer and is the founding member of Murder Inc. Records. He is the designer of BET sequence Tales. Gotti was born at Queens, New York and is of dark and Dominican descent. He is the newest of eight siblings and a daddy of three kids.

A songs professional and producer he established Murder Inc Records with his sibling Chris (born 1967).

He has created songs for performers like Jay Z, Ja Rule, and Vanessa Carlton. He created Jay-Z’s “Can I Get A…”, Ja Rule’s “Holla Holla” and DMX’s “What’s My Name?” Carlton’s third record, “Heroes and Thieves”, launched October 9, 2007, are the ones which Gotti co-produced, with Channel 7, Rick Rubin, and Stephan Jenkins.

In a meeting with Angie Martinez in beginning May 2009, Gotti mentioned that his brand, The Inc., was making Universal Records.

A 2003 research, along with a raid on the Manhattan offices of Murder Inc. led to expenses of money laundering and other cases being introduced against Gotti and his sibling Christophe. On December 2, 2005, a jury found the brothers innocent of all the mentioned charges.
