Jaleel White was born on November 27, 1976 in Culver City, California, U.S. He is an actor by profession in America. He was casted in the role of Steve Urkel on the sitcom “Family Matters”. This character, which was initially meant to be a one-time appearance in the show, was an immediate hit among viewers and white became a regular character on the show. The sequence was broadcasted for a maximum of nine seasons from 1989 to 1997 on ABC, and from 1997 to 1998 on CBS. Apart from this personality, White is also known as the voice of Sonic the Hedgehog in the cartoon sequence “Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog”, Sonic (SatAM) and “Sound Underground”. He reprised the voice of Sonic in the 2013 fan movie, Sonic.

After Family Matters ended, White showed up in the UPN sequence Grown Ups from 1999 to 2000. He later joined UCLA where he completed with a degree in movie and tv in 2001. He has continued his career with positions in Dreamgirls (2006), and visitor stints on Boston Legal, House, and Psych. In March 2012, White showed up as a contestant in the 14th season of Dancing with the Stars and was voted off in May 2012, putting him in 7th place. In April 2012, White organized the game show Total Blackout, which broadcasted on the channel Syfy.

After beginning his profession at the age of three, White’s first TV appearance was a guest stint on “The Jeffersons”, in 1984. He later auditioned for the part of Rudy Huxtable on The Cosby Show. One year later, he was seen as the son of Flip Wilson and Gladys Knight on the CBS sitcom “Charlie and Company”.

Later, he appeared in the lead show for “Good Morning, Miss Bliss:, and had a guest part on “Mr. Belvedere”. White featured in “Soleil Moon Frye” in 1988. The pilot show broadcasted during a special preview on September 25, 1988 on ABC. The sequence, however, was not selected up by the system. Also during the 1980’s, he showed up in a few sections of NBC’s “One to Grow On”.

In the NBC TV movie “Camp Cucamonga”, White had an appearance. The film featured Sherman Hemsley, Jennifer Aniston, and Brian Robbins. Several other kid stars of the era such as Chad Allen, Candace Cameron, Danica McKellar, Josh Saviano, Countess Vaughn, and Breckin Meyer also appeared.
