How did Jerry Seinfeld earn his money and wealth?

Among the most popular American stand-up comedians, Jerome Allen Seinfeld has been ruling Hollywood since 1981. From writer to actor, or director and producer, he is a total package. Born on 29th April 1954, he is widely known for playing in the sitcom Seinfeld which is written by him and Larry David. In 2005, he was titled as the “12th Greatest Stand-up Comedian of All Time.” His career started from a very young age when he discovered his love for stand-up comedy. After working in a few college productions, he was seen on open-mic nights which was hosted at Budd Friedman’s Sex Club.

After his graduation and a failed attempt at comedy on sitcom Benson, he made a remarkable entry on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson in May 1981. In 1988, he also developed The Seinfeld Chronicles for NBC along with Larry David. After its 4th season, it became one of the most successful TV shows in America.

Later on, he starred on Saturday Night Live where many actors like Jason Alexander, Michael Richards, and veteran Julia Louis-Dreyfus appeared on the show. His show was a huge hit where his cast and crew recorded DVD releases for the show. As the show ended, he came back to New York and made a huge comeback in stand-up comedy. He also did a tour in 1998 where he documented a comedy special named as “I’m Telling You for the Last Time.” Christian Charles directed the special comedy tour, and it also featured Orny Adams.

Seinfeld also appeared in 30 seconds add of Apple Computer that featured various legends like Martin Luther King, Jr., Mahatma Gandhi, and many more. He 2004, he was seen promoting American Express, named as The Adventures of Seinfeld & Superman in two commercial webisodes. He also appeared at the National Museum of American History to give a speech on the puffy shirt on 18th November 2004. Seinfeld was also seen in a cameo on Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ show known as Saturday Night Live on 13th May 2006. On the 79th Academy Awards, he did a stand-up comedy by talking on movie patrons and movie theatre owners. He also returned to NBC as a guest in the 30 Rock episode named “SeinfeldVision.” In 2008, he presented a one night only show in his hometown of New York City which was for a good cause at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

Jerry and his entire crew also appeared on Larry David’s HBO series Curb Your Enthusiasm for a reunion. Later on, he was also a part of Starz original series Head Case where he played himself in one episode. For the first time in 11 years, he was called as a surprise guest on The Daily Show. In 2011, he also launched his first website JerrySeinfeld.com which published his archives. The next year, he created a web series known as Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. He has also received an honorary award at Clio Awards Ceremony in 2014. In 2017, he also signed a contract with Netflix which will feature a new twenty-four episode season of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. Netflix has also debuted his stand-up comedy special.
