In the past, Lerche Studio has given us some great anime like ‘Given‘ and ‘Kanata no Astra‘. With its new anime adaptation, ‘Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun’, the studio gives us another epic show that has flawless animation, an enticing storyline, and some memorable cute characters. It initially starts off as a comedy anime whose setup is only confined to a high school. Revolving around the seven wonders of the Kamome Academy, it slowly weaves a storyline that interconnects all of these mysteries with one another and the lives of the main characters.
As it further progresses with the season and further delves into the underlying mysteries of this school, it goes through some major tonal changes and subtly turns into somewhat of a horror anime. So far, it has clearly lived up to its true potential and we hope that it’ll get even better in the second season. Toilet-bound Hanako-kun Season 2 Release Date: When will it premiere?
‘Toilet-bound Hanako-kun’ season 1 premiered on January 10, 2020, and with a total of 12 episodes, it finished airing on March 27, 2020. The first season comes to an end on a rather inconclusive note where Hanako, Nene, and Kou are still exploring the other undiscovered Seven Wonders of Kamome Academy but the Hell of Mirrors arc has reach its climax.
So far, season 1 of the anime has received a very positive response from most viewers and many fans are already hoping for a second season. According to many anime viewers, it is also among the best anime shows of the season. Considering how popular it has managed to become in such a short period of time, it is quite possible that it will soon be renewed. The anime is a very loyal adaptation of the original manga which currently has a total of 12 published volumes. Out of these, the first season covers close to 7 volumes, leaving enough content for a whole new season.
Since the manga is still in publication, it might even have enough content for season 3 by the end of 2021. Unfortunately, as of now, no official announcements about its release have been made yet. However, since it usually takes studios about a year to renew most anime, we expect ‘Toilet-bound Hanako-kun Season 2’ to release sometime in January 2021.
