How does Joan Sebastian earn his money and wealth?

Joan Manuel Figueroa Figueroa, known as Joan Sebastian was born on 8th April 1951 at Juliantla, Guerrero, Mexico. Joan began composing when he was only seven years old. Under the influence of Father David Salgado, Joan decided to become a priest and enrolled in the Seminario Conciliar de San Jose in Cuernavaca, Morelos. But soon left the seminary to pursue a career in music.

In 1974, Sebastian recorded his first album Pedro Parrandas, after moving to Mexico City. In 1977, he signed with the record label Musart In 2000, he released his album, Secreto de Amor. The album was certified platinum in Recording Industry Association of America in Latin field. The also won awards including Lo Nuestro Awards for Regional Mexican Album of the Year and Regional Mexican Song of the Year.

The following year he released his live album En Vivo: Desde la Plaza El Progreso en Guadalajara. The album hit on the Billboard Top Latin Albums chart.

In 2002, he released the Grammy Award-winning album Afortunado through the record label Musart Records. The album won the Grammy Award for Best Mexican/Mexican-American Album in the year 2004. The same year he also released the album Lo Dino el Corazon which earned him Grammy Award for Best Mexican/Mexican-American Album in 2003. In 2012, Sebastian released the studio album Un Lujoin collaboration with Lucero through Skalona Records.
