‘Kandagawa Jet Girls’, produced by TNK Studios, is a lesser-known sports anime that revolves around the sport of jet ski. Along with this, to add to the appeal, it also involves fantasy futuristic elements and some voluptuous anime girls. For the most part, it follows a very simple storyline that’s all about a jet ski tournament where school girls compete against one another. Though it does not really offer much and also lacks the necessary progression that most sports anime have, it is still pretty decent in terms of animation.
Kandagawa Jet Girls Season 1 Release Date: When will it premiere?
A little bit of Yuri, some overly sexualized characters and a sports competition, that’s what ‘Kandgawa Jet Girls’ is all about. So clearly, it’s one of those anime shows that don’t have much to offer except for some cheap fanservice and a little bit a character development. ‘Kandgawa Jet Girls’ premiered on October 8, 2019 and with a total of 12 episodes, it is expected to end by December 2019. It follows a typical 24-minute episode format and with each episode, it brings in more or less of a standalone story.
Since it’s an original anime, its creators have the freedom to renew it without relying on source material. But from the looks of it, considering its average rating on most anime platforms, it barely qualifies as a mediocre show. And that’s one big reason why we might never get to see any more of it in the future. Even then, if we get any news regarding its renewal, we will update it here in this section.

Kandagawa Jet Girls Season 1 Plot:
‘Kandagawa Jet Girls’ is set in a world where jet ski racing has become a major sport and pretty much everyone wants to be involved in it in one way or the other. In these races, each jet ski is operated by two individuals where one is known as the “jetter” and the other one who attacks other contenders with a spray gun is the “shooter”. Rin Namiki, the main protagonist, aspires to be just like her mother who was once a legendary jet ski racer. To make her dream a reality, she leaves her small town and reaches Asakusa, Tokyo. This is where she runs into Misa Aoi, a beautiful young girl who is a talented shooter. Soon, the two of them get involved in the whole jet ski racing scene and make their way to the top by defeating the toughest opponents.
Kandagawa Jet Girls Season 1 Characters:
Rin Namiki, heading from Nagasaki, is the main character of the series who later enrolls herself in Asakusa Girls High School in Tokyo. Because of her vibrant personality, she is able to get along with almost everyone at her school. When it comes to the sport of jet ski, she is a complete amateur and has never even participated in any races before. But she dreams to be a great racer like her mother and is willing to do anything to get there. After she becomes Misa’s partner, she works really hard to make sure that they win all of their races.
Misa is one of the female protagonists of the series who becomes Rin’s jet ski partner. She had once given up on jet skiing because of some personal issues but after she meets Rin, she picks it up again. She has a very cool and laid back personality and she usually avoids getting to close to people. But strangely, with Rin, she’s not able to hold herself back and eventually, she not only becomes a great jet ski partner but also a close friend.
Kaguya is one of the most talented and popular jet skiers and heads from the prestigious Musashino Girls High School. She holds herself in very high regard and takes immense pride in all of her achievements. She is also very confident about her abilities and though she might seem like a princess on the outside, she secretly works really hard and goes through some really harsh training. Her jet ski partner is Kuromaru who gets along well with her but Kaguya’s obsession for winning gets a little annoying for Kuro at times.
Kuromaru’s family has a long history with Kaguya’s family and that’s one reason why the two of them end up becoming partners. Despite having a friendly and innocent personality, during races, she is one ferocious sniper who spares no one. Like Kaguya, she puts herself through some really hard training but starts slacking when it comes to dieting. She is a glutton and hogs on anything and everything in sight.
Ziyu Pan is the older sister in the twin unit ‘Hell’s Kitchen’. Ziyu and her sister have a very distinctive style of jet skiing and they usually sing songs while racing. They’re both equally serious about both their idol and jet ski skills and make a name for themselves in both the worlds.
