Kevin James was born as Kevin George Knipfing on April 26, 1965, in Mineola, New York and was raised in Stony Brook. Kevin has two siblings, an elder brother Gary Joseph Knipfing and a sister Leslie Knipfing. Initially interested in a wrestling career, Kevin had to let go of that dream when he suffered a career-ending injury in college. Kevin began his career as standup comedy artist in 1989 in East Side Comedy Club in Long Island. His recent appearance was in Grown Ups, which proved to be a great success at the box office. Kevin also has a website named “Dusty Peacock”, starring his brother which has been streaming on Crackle since July 2009.
