Kevin Smith was born in Red Bank, New Jersey, U.S., on August 2, 1970. He is a filmmaker, acting professional, comedian writer, well-known author, and podcaster. Kevin Smith got his enhanced popularity with Clerks (1994), a low-budget funny movie, which was written, directed, co-produced, and even acted as the Silent Bob of stoner-duo, Jay, and Silent Bob. Jay and Silent Bob have showed up in Smith’s follow-up movies “Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, and Clerks 2” which were mainly in his home state of New Jersey.
