Lil Yachty, real name Miles Parks McCollum, was born on 23, August 1997 in Georgia, US. He attended the Alabama State University in 2015 but later dropped out of it to pursue a career in music. Lil Yachty is not only an American singer but also a rapper.

He earned recognition in August 2015 from his singles titled ‘Minnesota’ and ‘One Night’ from debut album EP ‘Summer Songs’. Later he debuted as a model in Madison Square Garden for Kanye West’s Yeezy fashion line in February 2016. Lil Yachty’s debut mixtape titled ‘Lil Boat’ released in March 2016.

He released the hit single titled ‘Broccoli’ in collaboration with Da RAM in April 2016 which stood at number 5 position on Billboard Hot 100. He released his debut studio album in May 2017 titled ‘Teenage Emotions’ with guest appearances of music artists Grace, Diplo, Migos Evander Griiim, YG and Stefflon Don among others. Later on, three promotional singles were developed and released to relate to the track. The first promotional single from the album was ‘Harley’ which was released in April 2017, the second being ‘Bring It Back’ that released in May 2017 and the third one was ‘X Men’ that also released in May 2017 and featured rapper Evander Griiim in a guest appearance.

Lil Yachty featured in Creek Boyz’ ‘With My Team’ remix which was released in December 2017. The fact that Lil Yachty and Take Off both collaborated for an album, which is yet to be released, was confirmed back in January 2018. Yachty announced in February 2018 that he will be releasing his album titled ‘Lil Boat 2’ on March 2018. Lil Yachty feature in the single titled ‘If You Were Mine’ by Ocean Park Standoff that released in April 2018. He refers to his style as ‘bubblegum trap.’ His songs are most often based on themes which range from Charlie Brown, Mario Bros and other themes such as the Super Nintendo, cotton candy and certain scenes from the Pixar movies. Moreover, most people describe his style as ‘mumble rap.’
