Lonzo Ball, real name Lonzo Anderson Ball, was born on 27 October 1997 in Anaheim, California to Tina and Lavar Ball who were both basketball players. He began playing basketball at an early age of 2 years and initially played along with his brothers, LiMalo and LiAngelo. Lonzo went to Chino Hills High School located in California. In the year 2015, Lonzo signed a National Letter of Intent in order to attend the iconic University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and play for the UCLA Bruins.

Lonzo Ball is an American professional basketball player who serves as the point guard for the Los Angeles Lakers of the NBA. While he was in his senior year in school, Lonzo led his basketball team Huskies to a 35-0 victory with a state title as well. The team was later ranked as the number 1 in the country. After he joined the UCLA in the year 2016, Lonzo transformed the fortune of the Bruins. He made the team win the championship against the Texas A&M. After this victory, Lonzo earned an entry into the MVP of the Wooden Legacy Tournament. In the NCAA Tournament, the Bruins scored a majestic victory over the team Kent State in the opening game. However, Bruins later lost to Kentucky with 86-75. By the end of the 2016-17 season, Lonzo had an average score of 7.6 assists, 14.6 points, and 6.0 rebounds.

In the 2017 NBA draft, Lonzo was acquired by the Los Angeles Lakers with the second overall pick. Lonzo signed a 4-year contract with the Lakers. His outstanding performance in the ‘2017 NBA Summer League Tournament’ took everyone by surprise. He had an average of 9.3 assists, 16.3 points, 7.7 rebounds, 1.0 blocks and 2.5 steals in each game. In October 2017, Lonza scored 11 rebounds as well as 9 assists against the team Phoenix Suns. The Lakers won the game over Phoenix Suns by a 132-130.

In the next game, Lonza went on to become the youngest player to get 10 assists in just a single game against the team New Orleans Pelicans where the Lakers won with 119-112. In the next game, the Lakers lost the team Milwaukee Bucks, however, Lonza became the youngest player to earn a triple-double feat. In November 2017, Lonza achieved his 2nd triple-double in a 127-109 victory over the team Denver Nuggets.

Lonza had almost broken Steve Francis’ record of most number of rebounds by an NBA rookie. Lonza stood at 16 rebounds in the game with 11 points as well as 11 assists while Steve scored 17 rebounds in the season 1999-2000. Due to a sprained shoulder, Lonza was unable to play basketball for a long time. He made a  comeback in a match against the team Dallas Mavericks in January 2018 only to suffer from another injury. Lonza could not be a part of the ‘Rising Stars Challenge’ during ‘NBA All-Star Weekend’ due to the injury. He made a comeback finally in a game against Dallas Mavericks in February 2018, leading the Lakers to a 124-102 win.
