How much is Madonna worth? $590 Million
How did Madonna earn her money and wealth?
The exceptionally talented and focused evergreen celebrity, Madonna, never stops molding herself with the changing fashion and norms of the industry. She has won the Grammy Award seven times. Over three hundred million records and CDs have been sold by Madonna to her ever-loving fans in several parts of the world. On the other hand, her film career has not been that amazing as critics have always somehow made fun of her acting skills.
Madonna was born in August 1958 in Bay City, Michigan. She moved to New York to study with a well-known choreographer named Alvin Ailey in the year 1978. After that, she formed a band of her own with fellow artist Patrick Hernandez. The band was called “Breakfast Club”.
She and her boyfriend started working together to record several disco songs. Madonna rose to sheer fame in the 1980s. She sold blockbuster albums one by one.
Madonna has sold over 300 million records all across the globe, and thus, the Guinness World Records considers her to be the best-selling female recording artist in the history of music. According to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), she has sold 64.5 million albums, and is the second highest-certified female artist in the U.S.A. She has been included in two of Rolling Stone’s lists: one that of the 100 Greatest Songwriters of All Time, and the other being the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. She is the second music artist to have the most triumphant run at the Hot 100 singles, as per Billboard. In the very first year that she qualified for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, she got inducted into it and easily got the first position on VH1’s list of 100 Greatest Women in Music. Amongst all the musicians, she is the one with the most sales at tours; U.S. $1.4 billion dollars in concert tickets.
Madonna’s first movies were of low budget, namely: A Certain Sacrifice (1985) and Vision Quest (1985). She, later on, did movies that were at times liked by the audience but the critics bashed them badly. Madonna took a while before she realized that her acting days were no more. She went on to the direction path for a while. The movies that she directed got lukewarm critic reviews.
