Mc Hammer, real name Stanley Kirk Burrell, was born on 30 March 1962 in California, US. His father was a gambling casino manager as well as a professional poker player while his mother worked as a secretary in a company. Mc Hammer along with eight siblings grew up poor in a small apartment in Oakland. He soon got a job as a batboy for the Oakland Athletics baseball team, where he danced along with a beatboxer during breaks in the game and was given the nickname “Hammer” as he resembled all-time home run leader “Hammerin’” Hank Aaron.

Mc Hammer is not only an American hip hop recording artist but is also a record producer, dancer as well as an entrepreneur. He is also an executive producer of his reality show called ‘Hammertime’ which was broadcasted on the A&E Network in the year 2009.

Mc Hammer was also a television show host and a dance judge on ‘Dance Fever’ in the year 2003. Throughout his career, Mc Hammer has managed his own recording business. As a result, Mc Hammer has produced as well as created his own acts which include Oaktown’s 3.5.7, Analise, Special Generation, B Angie B, DRS, as well as Wee Wee.
