How did MGK earn his money and wealth?
MGK or Machine Gun Kelly was born on April 22, 1990, in Houston. Following his mother departure and his father’s depression and unemployment, he was subjected to bullying in the early age. After his father left to work for the army, he left school and started using drugs. He got inspired to try rapping from listening to Ludacris, Eminem and, DMX. He released his first demo tape, which was called “Stamp of Approval”. In 2009 he became the first ever rapper to win at the Apollo Theatre. In 2011 he was signed by Bad Boy records, following which he released the music video for the song “Wild Boy”, which featured Waka Flocka Flame.
His first EP “Half Naked & Famous” was released in 2012, which debuted at number 46 on the Billboard 200. The single “Wild Boy” from the album was certified gold. He was named the “Hottest Breakthrough MC of 2011” by MTV. He was also the winner of MTV’s “Breaking Woodie Award”. He made the list of XXL on their annual “Top 10 Freshmen list”. “Lace Up” was released in 2012, which featured numerous guest artists. The album debuted at number 4 on Billboard 200 and sold 57,000 copies in its first week.
His next mixtape “Black Flag” was released without any prior announcement on June 26, 2013. It also featured many artists, including Pusha T, Meek Mill, French Montana, Kellin Quinn, Dub-O, Sean McGee and Tezo. He released his second studio album “General Admission”, which debuted at number 4 on the Billboard 200. In 2016 he collaborated with Camila Cabello and released the single “Bad Things”, which peaked at number four on the US Billboard Hot 100. His third studio album “Bloom” was released in 2017 and it reached number four on Billboard Hot 100.
MGK has a daughter named Casie. He suffered from drug addiction for two tears of his life and has openly talked about his addiction and has also made a song describing his addiction titled “Lead You On”.
