10. Fast and Furious 6

It is not an unknown fact that in any action movie the story is basically good versus evil. But if we search for good versus evil versus fighting for the kind of life we want, we get the sixth installment of the Fast and the Furious series. Right in the beginning of the movie D.S.S. agent Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) offers the criminal team leader Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his team with a chance to live a peaceful life with all their criminal charges removed in exchange of helping him to take down another criminal organization led by Owen Shaw (Luke Evans).

Dominic Toretto is shown as a strong-willed no-nonsense kinda leader where he definitely does whatever it takes to live the life he and his teammates want. Moreover, the character of Owen Shaw is the toughest one in the entire series. This movie is really amazing to watch because of its jaw-dropping action sequences, great visuals, and some twists and turns in the storyline which gives us a feeling that it’s not a smooth way ahead for the team.

Now many people may not agree, but this is indeed a very nice movie that shows the real meaning of true leadership. Because of this the students secretly meet and choose Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) as their teacher.

Under Harry’s guidance, the students master many magical skills and they start to call themselves “Dumbledore’s Army”. This part of the story and along with the battle between Lord Voldemort (Ralph Fines) and Harry Potter assisted by Harry’s mentor Sirius Black (Gary Oldman) gives us the feeling that when a person is chosen as a leader he should do all his necessary duties be it training the team members or fighting for the loved ones. 8. Olympus Has Fallen

This film is a great depiction of patriotism with a mix of high octane action. This film gives us the feeling that help can come when you least expect it. The story is about Mike Banning, a former Secret Service Agent and formerly the head of security of the U.S. President who later works at U.S. Treasury headquarters, going on a self-assigned mission to rescue the President who is held captive by North Korean terrorists after they have assaulted the White House. One may also argue that there was too much blood shown in the movie but that still can be ignored when the action scenes were so refined.

The term ‘One Man Army’ fits perfectly with the character of Mike Banning who uses his skills to take down all the terrorists one by one and giving everyone held captive in the White House a feeling of hope that there is some kind of help coming and it is on its way. Director Antoine Fuqua nailed it in this film and the performances of Gerard Butler as Banning and Aaron Eckhart as the U.S. President were remarkable.

This is the funniest movie entry in the list. When his sister Hela (Cate Blanchett) returns To Asgard, after King Odin dies, to claim the throne, Thor (Chris Hemsworth) faces his greatest challenge to stop her and return to Asgard and save his people. An almost unique Marvel movie mainly because of its funny dialogues, the story is almost the same as Black Panther. A prince returning to his place to save his people from an unfortunate catastrophic event called Ragnarok along with the arrival of Hella in Asgard.

What makes the movie so much watchable is the fighting scene between Thor and Hulk which is both entertaining and hilarious at the same time. 5. I Am Legend

Will Smith can be seen in a very daring role of a Military virologist and a lone survivor Robert Neville. Set in New York City, where a virus which was created to cure cancer has wiped out almost all of mankind and mutated a few, Robert struggles to find a cure for the virus while fighting with the mutants.

The plot of the movie may not sound similar to most of the movies in the list but Robert’s struggle to find a cure and his hope of transforming the mutants back to humans definitely connects with the similarities of the other mentioned movies. When nothing remains in the world around us we almost give up, but the character of Robert does not fit into something like that. The story of the movie can be related to ‘never giving up’ attitude of a strong man who has hope that all mankind will be restored in its rightful order.
