“Revenge of the Bridesmaids” is a romantic comedy that follows two friends, Abigail and Parker. When they visit their hometown, they discover that their best friend Rachel is a bridesmaid in the wedding of their childhood friend, Caitlyn, and Tony, who was Rachel’s boyfriend until Caitlyn interfered. Because of that, Abigail and Parker decide to run some interference of their own. They manipulate Caitlyn and become bridesmaids as well so that they and Rachel can sabotage the wedding from the inside. However, now she is struggling with the idea of standing by her sister’s side as her sibling marries the man she’s secretly in love with. “27 Dresses” is a fun romantic comedy despite being predictable at times. Katherine Heigl manages to put in good acting to portray her jealousy towards her sister. Also, she makes the viewers connect with her, which is very important. Additionally, Judy Greer is brilliant, and she owns all her scenes. The cast has an amazing chemistry which gives a unique charm and sense of humor to the whole movie.

6. One Small Hitch (2013)

On a flight home to Chicago for a family wedding, childhood friends Josh and Molly innocently agree to fake a wedding engagement to make Josh’s dying father happy. However, things quickly get out of control, which causes them to pretend to be a couple and start planning a phony wedding. “One Small Hitch” has some great lead characters and actors that have good chemistry as friends and lovers. Its story is cute and funny, focusing on all kinds of relationships (lovers, friends and family) which really refreshing. When she asks Tom to be her “maid” of honor, he reluctantly agrees just so he can attempt to stop the wedding and confess his love to her. “Maid of Honor” is not groundbreaking but it is quite refreshing to see a romantic movie from the perspective of a man. If you enjoy romantic comedies and want a good laugh this one is definitely worth seeing. Patrick Dempsey and Michelle Monaghan are great in the skin of their characters and they have great chemistry together.

When a woman’s long-time friend reveals he’s engaged, she realizes she loves him herself and sets out to get him, with only days before the wedding. With a great soundtrack and exciting plot, “My Best Friend’s Wedding” became an instant classic in 1997. Julia Roberts gets a great opportunity to showcase her talent, and she does so. Her natural charm comes through in a fantastic way. Also, Cameron Diaz and Rupert Everett are quite good.

Best friends can become your worst enemies since they know every little secret you had confided in them. “Bride Wars” is the perfect chick flick with an interesting idea and amazing Hollywood stars. It not only has some great jokes and hilarious moments but also has a cast that does not take itself too seriously. Hathaway and Hudson are great together, you will laugh out loud a lot while watching “Bride Wars”.

Cameron Diaz, Leslie Mann and Kate Upton were very good in their individual roles and the chemistry between them was strong. An excellent film to relax on a Sunday afternoon.
