Alice (Dakota Johnson) falls for one after the other men, her friend/co-worker Robin (Rebel Wilson) is a wild partying one-night stand person, whereas Alice’s sister, who is OB/GYN, refuses to fall for any men or babies and finally, Lucy (Alison Brie) who still believes in Cinderella story is waiting for her right man. All of their lives go on a ride when people start coming in. And as the movie says, “Why do we always have to tell our stories through relationships? Why can’t we start with I am single…” It’s a must-watch if you want to laugh out loud and just enjoy with friends.

9. Eat Pray Love

Well, if you loved the book, you will definitely love the movie, and plus, who does not want to watch Julia Roberts. This movie is all about self-love and self-discovery, which seems to be missing in the life of people today. Directed by Ryan Murphy, this movie is a biography of Elizabeth Gilbert, who just gets irritated with her life even while having everything, so after her divorce she goes on a trip from eating in Italy to praying and meditating in India to finding love in Indonesia. This movie is a must-watch for all the lost souls and the rest of the people who might enjoy the travelling with her.

It’s a sweet Christmas comedy family drama film which you should enjoy with your family. Directed by Jessie Nelson this movie focuses on range of stories about a dysfunctional family. The parents to kids to even grandparents to the people they even meet with all are going to meet on Christmas, and then the blast happens, which is building up the whole movie. With an ensemble cast, the movie is pure fun and makes you feel good.

7. What We Did on Our Holiday

Well, it’s another comedy family drama film written and directed by Andy Hamilton and Guy Jenkin. This film explores a separated husband and wife reuniting with their three kids to go to their grandfather’s 75th birthday who is suffering from cancer and lives with his eldest son and his wife and son. All the drama takes place when the three kids decide to give a Viking funeral to their suddenly dead grandfather while the adults are all busy fighting. The movie is a sweet and funny film where kids take things in their hands to teach the fighting adults a lesson. It is a British film that will make you laugh to the core and as well teach you a lesson.

6. It’s Kind of a Funny Story

Based on a book of the same name by Ned Vizzini, the film explores a very serious and critical problem of suicide and psychological problems in a fun and comic way. Written and directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, the movie starts when a young 16-year old Craig Gilner decides to see a doctor about his suicidal thoughts and is transferred to the psychiatric ward for a week. Within a week, so much happens that he starts to find himself by helping others, and he finds his art and love as well. It’s a sweet comic movie about some serious issues.

5. The Fundamentals of Caring

Based on the book of the name ‘the revised fundamentals of caregiving’ by Jonathan Evison, the movie explores the interaction and events that happen between Trevor, who suffers from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, and his caregiver Ben. They both take a trip to see the world’s largest pit and find meaning and worth in their lives on this journey. Directed by Robert Burnett, the movie is fun as well as a little sad but is worth the watch.

It is a comedy-drama film with its main theme as ‘Food.’ Written and directed by Jon Favreau, the movie tells us a story of a cook working in a famous LA restaurant, who after going to war with a critic on the internet, quit his job and went on to open a food truck with his son. It’s a fun movie to watch especially if you love cooking. The relationship between the father and the son and cooking adds an emotional touch to the movie.

Her parents support her and cannot even leave the other members of the family, so the whole family takes an 800-mile long road trip in a yellow Volkswagen type-2. In the whole trip, there are various meltdowns from the family members to the Volkswagen, and there is super chaos because of it. It is a family fun movie which should be seen with family as they each realize each other’s importance in their lives in this road trip.

1. Silver Linings Playbook

Based on the novel by the same name by Matthew Quick, the movie is a rom-com directed by David O. Russell, which explores the seriousness of bipolar disorder in a comic sense. Pat (Bradley Cooper) has bipolar disorder and is recently released from a psychiatric hospital. But he is adamant on winning his estranged wife back. However, when he meets a widow named Tiffany (Jennifer Lawrence), they become close while training for a dance competition. Interestingly, Tiffany signed him up for the competition so Pat could win his wife over. The movie also highlights how Pat’s father begins to re-evaluated his relationship with his son. It is a chaotic rom-com, which will make you laugh and leave you feeling good.
