Naruto Season 6: Premiere Date, Characters, Plot

With close to 220 episodes covering more than 10,000 pages of the manga, ‘Naruto‘ is one of the most popular anime of this decade. The manga and the anime both went quite viral soon after their release and later, even the west started catching up with it. ‘Naruto’ starts off as your typical shounen anime with lots of comedy and action sequences. It’s not the kind of anime that leaves an impression on you right off the bat. No doubt it is hilarious, and that’s pretty much the only thing that makes you stay in the beginning. But it soon starts to grow on you, especially with its three main characters — Naruto, Sakura and Sasuke.

Even the growth of the characters is very steady and gradual. They are constantly growing but you do not realize that until you reach further ahead in the series and look back. Through its five years of run time, not only the characters grow but you yourself grow with them and you can’t help but get attached to these amazing characters. That’s probably the best thing about this anime. It never rushed through the storyline and not even once faces any issues with its pacing. And most of all, it takes its time to open up and introduce us to the true nature of each and every character.

What starts off as your typical Slice of Life anime soon kicks off and takes you through a plot that’s deeply captivating and worth watching. But even after adopting such a serious tone, it manages to maintain elements of slapstick comedy. There are a lot of filler episodes too that one can always skip because they have no significance in the context of the overall story. But they’re are also very entertaining and I don’t understand why someone would want to skip these episodes.

All those who have been with ‘Naruto’ through his journey since the last five seasons will know that it does a lot more than just tickling your funny bone. It is one show we can never get enough of and that’s probably the reason why most fans wouldn’t mind if another one is released in the near future. But it’s been a long time now since the last season ended and the fact that it ended with quite a conclusive note, makes a new season an even less of a possibility. But maybe there is still some hope…

Naruto Season 6 Release Date: When will it premiere?

Naruto season 1 premiered on October 3, 2002, whereas season 5 ended on February 8, 2007. This was followed by a new phase of the series called ‘Naruto Shippuuden‘ which is set two years after the initial series. Naruto Shippuuden went on for a decade, coming to an end in 2017 with close to 500 episodes and 21 seasons. The bad news is that it is very less likely that the first original ‘Naruto’ season will ever have a new 6th season now. After all these years, there have now been no announcements from the Studio Pierrot’s end regarding this. But if there will one in the coming years or anytime in the future, then we will surely keep you updated on that.

However, the good news is that ‘Naruto’ has been renewed in a way with a new anime series that goes by the name ‘Boruto‘. Now I know that ‘Boruto’ may never bring back the original Naruto but it’s not all that bad and it focuses on the next generation of the Naruto series where Boruto is Naruto’s son. Doesn’t sound pleasing yet? Well, maybe you should give it a try. There’s no likelihood of Naruto season 6 release date getting announced anytime soon. But if it does, we will let you know. So, don’t forget to bookmark this page.

English Dubbed and Subbed versions of ‘Naruto’ are available on Netflix, Hulu, and Crunchyroll.

Naruto Plot:

Kyuubi, a dangerous demon, attacks the village of Konohagakure, which is also known as the Hidden Leaf Village. The huge nine-tailed fox demon destroys everything in its way and that’s when the Fourth Hokage sacrifices his life to seal this demon inside Naruto right before he is born. His fate has been decided, as some may believe, while others still believe that there’s good in him and this incident does not change who he may choose to become. The young boy is now a hyperactive ninja who struggles to find his place in the village of Konohagakure because of past incidents. Naruto now dreams of becoming a Hokage of his village someday and along the way, he makes many new friends and of course, some deadly enemies as well. Two people who stay almost throughout Naruto’s journey are Sakura and Sasuke who have quite an interesting backstory for themselves.

These events are then followed by ‘Naruto: Shippuuden’, where it’s been 2 years since he has left his village to train himself more intensively. Naruto now realizes that danger lurks right over the horizon that threatens every single person in the shinobi world. He takes it upon himself to protect his family and friends. And even though he still has the childish charm and hyperactive nature, he is now more mature than he ever was. He holds himself responsible to fight for everything that matters to him even if it comes down to giving up his life. The saga continues and the boy who once had a demon trapped inside him is now on his journey to becoming the next Hokage.

A season 6 specifically to the first ‘Naruto’ series is very less likely but we might see more renewals to the series like Shippuuden or Boruto. So waiting for one would be a waste of your time. But if there are any updates on it, then we will surely fill you in with the news.

Naruto Characters:

Sakura Haruno

Sakura has always had a big crush on Sasuke and doesn’t really like Naruto most of the times. She is the only female in their ninja team of 7. She is a kunoichi who is exceptionally smart and has an insanely balanced chakra control. When she first meets Naruto, she isn’t really in a good physical condition and is really weak, strength wise. But much later, when she fails to get through the second part of the Chuunin exam after losing a fight to the Sound Ninja, she decides to work harder. She chops her hair short with a kunai and swears that she is going to be a better ninja and even a better person overall.

Sakura later proves to be a great medical-nin and also a very good fighter. She acquires inhuman strength through her chakra control technique which is taught to her by Tsunade. She easily manages to defeat two other ninjas named Season and Chiyo who fight against her together. And though she still has to unlock her full potential, she manages to grow really strong and even stay immune to being trapped in “the illusion”.

Hatake Kakashi

Kakashi Hatake is a one-eyed ninja who describes himself as the one with “many hobbies”. But he is usually found reading a novel named Icha Icha Paradise (Make Out Paradise) and later reads its sequel, Icha Icha Violence (Make Out Violence). In the 2nd part of the series, Naruto even gifts him the third version of the book that goes by the name of Icha Icha Tactics (Still need a translation?). The biggest advantage that Kakashi has in the battle is his eye. It allows him to recreate his opponent’s moves as his own and also track every single movement of his opponent with grave detail. He is also known as the “Copycat Ninja Kakashi’ because of his ability to be able to copy more than a thousand jutsu.

Sasuke Uchiha

Sasuke Uchiha has had a very rough past where his own brother Itachi had killed everyone from his clan, which includes his mother, father and any existing family he ever had. For some reason. his brother decides to spare his life and asks Sasuke to always hate him. Sasuke decides to leave all this behind and applies to the Ninja Academy in the Leaf Village. He feels like he’s wasting his time in the Leaf village after his first battle with Naruto and thinks he should be spending more time training to get better. His main focus is to just get stronger so that he can avenge the death of his family members and eventually revive his lost clan.

For a long time, Sasuke walks around like a loner and believes that he can only work as a lone wolf. But deep inside, he cares for Naruto and Sakura and is always there for them whenever they need him. He even openly admits it to Naruto once that he is his only closest friend; this is one thing that always motivates Naruto.

Naruto Uzumaki

Everyone knows that Naruto is destined for greatness after the nine-tailed demon fox is left trapped inside him. His greatness is guaranteed but how he will achieve it is not, and that’s the reason why many people of the village consider him to be an outcast. The Hokage, who was responsible for trapping the demon in him, wanted people to view him as a hero but instead, he is often ostracized by people who believe that he is no different from the monster that almost destroyed their village.

Naruto still remains joyous and full of life while he learns to accept his external environment. His reaction to people’s criticism comes out in the form of harmless childish pranks. Apart from all of this, he is also very determined to succeed and prove that he deserves to be the next Hokage. Naruto’s optimism is admirable and his determination is always an inspiration.
