NCIS Season 17 Episode 17 Recap:

In episode 17, a teenager runs someone over with her car, and later, the victim is revealed to be Petty Officer Third Class Noah O’Donnell. But he had been dead long before the accident as someone had shot him twice before leaving his corpse on the road. The NCIS team then directs the investigation toward Noah’s only living family member, Claire, who happens to be missing. Further probing additionally reveals that Noah’s family was also murdered years ago and somehow, both the incidents are connected. The bodies of all the victims were found in the same location.

The crew subsequently looks for Claire, who still keeps on visiting her parents’ old house and creates weird dollhouses there. The team believes she is ill but Claire, all this while, had been reconstructing the events to understand the murder of her family. When the team is finally able to speak to Claire, she reveals that alongside her, Noah was investigating his parents’ murder. Since he must have found a clue, he was murdered according to the cops.

The investigation then leads them to Louise Fitzgerald, Noah and Claire’s neighbor who had been killed by Noah’s friend. When Noah confronted the killer about his crime, the latter murdered him and made it look like he was killed by the same person who had murdered his parents.
