Paul Rudd was born on 6th April 1969 in Passaic, New Jersey, USA. His family moved to Lenexa, Kansas when he was 19 years-old. He attended Shawnee Mission West High School and majored in theatre at the University of Kansas.
Rudd made one of his first appearances on television drama series Sisters, in 1992 where he played the role of Kirby Quimby Philby. He then appeared in episodes of Wild Oats in 1994. The following year he co-starred in coming-of-age romantic comedy Clueless (1995) by Alicia Silverstone.
He started appearing in films like Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers (1995), William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet (1996), The Locusts (1997), Overnight Delivery (1998), The Object of My Affection ( 1998) and 200 Cigarettes (1999). Among these Romeo and Juliet was a commercial success grossing around $ 147.5 million.
