Plunderer Season 1 Plot:

‘Plunderer’ is set in a post-apocalyptic world where the identity of every human is associated with a number, known as the “Count.” This number is basically a representation of a key moment of the person’s life. For some, it could merely be a walking distance, while for others, it could be associated with something even deeper.

In the year 305 of the Alcian calendar, a young girl named Hina, after her mother’s “Count” drops to zero, inherits her mission to find the Legendary Red Baron. Along the way, she runs into half-masked swordsman named Licht, who is infamously known for his extremely low number count.

Plunderer Season 1 Characters:

Licht Bach

Licht Bach, whose real name is Sakai Hirito, is one of the main characters of the series. He is one of the “7 Legendary Red Baron”, but he often tries to his identity. There is nothing distinct about his looks, He has snow-white hair, crimson eyes, and fair skin, but most people don’t get to his face as he always keeps its hidden with masks. These are masks are usually the typical Japanese theatrical masks, known as Noh. His Count is imprinted on the back of his hand and it reads -999. He always tries his best to conceal his identity but he cannot watch others suffer before him. And just to help the ones in need, he ends up revealing who he truly is. He is also quite perverted and takes pride in his neediness. He is so used to getting rejected by women that he takes rejection with a straight face without feeling bad about it.

His count, -999, is apparently the representation of all the girls who have rejected him. When Hina calls him a liar and tells him that she hates him, his count goes down to -1000. But unlike most people, he also has a second count which reads 5700. This count represents the number of heads he has cut off. Licht has the “ability of speed” and can even be faster than sound at times. He can even jump extremely high, which gives others the illusion that he is flying.

Hina

Hina is the main female protagonist of the series who once lived a peaceful life with her mother in the mountains. But after her mother’s demise, she embarks on a journey to look for the legendary Red Baron. In appearance, she is petite and has short blue hair with deep purple eyes. Hina, since she always lived in the protection of her home with her mother, she is very naive about the dangers of the world around her. And because of her lack of interaction with anyone but her mother, she also has a hard time understanding the most basic social norms. She is very kind-hearted and cannot stand looking at anything that shows the slightest cruelty. Despite being very petite and weak, she does not hold herself back from protecting others and at times, she even puts her life on the line for the people who really matter to her.
