Oscar and Golden Globe nominated actor Ralph Fiennes was born in Ipswich, England. He pursued painting at Chelsea College of Art before he found his true calling in the realm of acting. He received training at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, following which he took his first step towards his passion. His career began at Open Air Theatre, Regent’s Park and also at the National Theatre. He gained considerable prominence at the Royal Shakespeare Company. His debut film was ‘Wuthering Heights’ (1992), an adaptation of Emily Brontë’s novel of the same name. He bagged the role of Heathcliff, starring opposite Juliette Binoche.
1993 was an important year in Fiennes’ career graph. He played one of the major roles in Peter Greenaway’s film ‘The Baby of Mâcon’ (1993). However, the film triggered controversy and did not receive positive reviews. Later that year, he garnered global critical acclaim for his portrayal of the Nazi camp commandant Amon Göth in Steven Spielberg‘s ‘Schindler’s List’. He received a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. His role also earned him a place at the American Film Institute’s list of top 50 film villains.

Fiennes portrayed He Who Must Not Be Named – “The Dark Lord” Lord Voldemort in the fantasy film ‘Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire’ (2005), based on JK. Rowling’s Harry Potter series. He played Voldemort in the following Harry Potter films as well – ‘Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix’, ‘Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince’, and notary Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ – Part 1 and Part 2. He has won several awards and accolades for his performance as the almost invincible villain.
In 2011, Fiennes made his directorial debut. He played the titular character in the film adaptation of Shakespeare’s tragedy ‘Coriolanus’. We are super excited to see Ralph Fiennes in the next Bond film. ‘Bond 25’ is going to be the 25th movie of the James Bond series. In this film, we will see Daniel Craig in the lead role. ‘Bond 25’ is directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga. The plot revolves around the time when Bond has retired from active service. His friend Felix Leiter asks for his help to find a missing scientist. To rescue the abducted scientist, agent 007 has to undertake a dangerous mission, a kind the world has hardly witnessed ever before. He has to face a mysterious villain armed with the latest technologies. The cast consists of Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Rami Malek, Léa Seydoux, Ben Whishaw, Jeffrey Wright and others in various roles. Ralph Fiennes will play M in the upcoming movie. The film is all set to hit the theatres on 3 April, 2020 in the United Kingdom and on 8 April, 2020 in the United States. The official name for the 25th Bond film has not yet been disclosed.
