In ‘Pursuit of Happiness’, host Ravi Patel travels the world, seeking answers to life’s universal questions. In season 1, he visits four destinations — Mexico, Japan, Korea, and Denmark. In each episode, which highlights one particular country, Patel is accompanied by a friend or family member. The duo holds conflicting opinions about a burning question. For instance, in Mexico, Patel explores the subject of retirement and aging, while being joined by his parents. In Japan, he and his wife scour for answers to parenting and gender roles. Korea sees Patel teaming up with his entrepreneur friend to confront their issues regarding work-life balance. In Denmark, his partner is his Muslim friend, and together, they dive deep into the topic of the immigration crisis.
The series lends a complete, unfiltered look into Patel’s personal struggles as he compares the topics in hand with domestic and international social norms.
