When Will Rick and Morty Season 4 Episode 6 Release?

Rick and Morty needs no introduction. Over the last four seasons, the show has reached an epic status that very few animated series have been able to achieve. So, what is it about the show that makes it so watchable? Is it its eccentricity? Or is it its cleverness? The misadventures of our mad scientist Rick Sanchez and his good-natured grandson Morty Smith is too hard to resist. Isn’t it? Whatever be your reason, fourth season has further confirmed the show’s brilliance.

Now, we know that some of you are waiting with bated breaths. After all, you are wondering when will Rick and Morty season 4 episode 6 will come out. Let’s try to address that question in detail.

Rick and Morty Season 4 Episode 6 Release Date

The fourth season of the latest season of the show premiered on November 10, 2019. It aired for 5 episodes till December 15, 2019 before going on a break. Going by the pattern of release of previous seasons, our best estimate suggests that Rick and Morty Season 4 Episode 6 will release sometime in April 2020 after a break of around three and a half months. Unfortunately, the makers have not revealed an official air date yet, except this below confirmation that the show will return in 2020.

In case you are wondering how many episodes season 4 will have, we have an answer for you. In an interview with EW, co-creator Roiland confirmed that the fourth season will consist of ten episodes. Now that isn’t a surprise considering previous seasons also had 10 episodes. The good news though is that the show has been picked up for an additional seventy episodes beginning with season 4. Which basically means, we are looking at around 6 more seasons after this. In an interview with Polygon, Roiland also indicated that the big renewal deal will allow the creators to lessen the gaps between seasons — a grievance that many fans had expressed before.

Coming back to the question of when will Rick and Morty return in 2020, here’s something else we know. Spencer Grammer, who plays Summer on the show, told Collider in November 2019, “We have another five episodes coming out eventually, sooner than later”. She also revealed, “I just recorded 4.10 when I was in LA a few weeks ago but, those change a lot. I’ll be going back to do pick-ups probably for some of them. They’re revising and then re-writing certain things. So, we’re not finished yet but yes, I recorded all of them so far.”

Well, that’s a big clue… or not! The show has finished its recording, which means the major chunk of work on rest of the episodes is done. The makers might be giving finishing touches to the show, we believe. Honestly, I think Adult Swim actually might be waiting for the right time to air the part 2 only to maximize the viewership. The month of February is usually busy with big events like Super Bowl and Oscars. So, our most optimistic estimate is that the show might even be back in March. Though, the more realistic estimate is, as we mentioned earlier, of April 2020.

When we had last left Morty, he had discovered a race of intelligent space snakes after suffering a potentially lethal bite. We can’t wait for what else he and his grandfather have in store for us. Here’s a little teaser that show’s official Twitter page released.
