HGTV has no dearth of home improvement series and it constantly adds more innovative, unique titles to ramp up its already rich collection. And rightly so! Fans love these shows as they can take cues from them and apply the ideas to their own houses. ‘Selling the Big Easy’ is another title from this list and it focuses on revamping luxe properties in and around the city of New Orleans. But how does it stand apart? Let’s find out.

Selling The Big Easy Season 1 Release Date: When Will It Premiere?

‘Selling the Big Easy’ season 1 is scheduled to release September 11, 2020, on HGTV.

Selling The Big Easy Cast: Who Is In It?

‘Selling the Big Easy’ features real estate expert Brittany Picolo-Ramos, a native of New Orleans, who specializes in properties, located in and around the city. Alongside her, we also meet her full-service agency, as they help clients tour some of the most extravagant homes in the locality.

Brittany expressed her love for NOLA in a press release where she said: “New Orleans is my hometown. This city always makes you feel welcome with its incredible food, music, and nightlife – and it’s home to the most beautiful and unique houses in America.”

What Is Selling The Big Easy About?

‘Selling the Big Easy’ is not your typical home improvement show. Not only does it take you through the nitty-gritty of house renovations but it also lends you a first-hand view of New Orleans’s vibrant and culturally-rich real estate market.

Brittany Picolo-Ramos and her team lead their clients to some of the most high-end and luxurious properties in the vicinity. Her primary goal is to enable potential home-owners to find the perfect deal. Among the featured homes, we see a classic Victorian property in downtown NOLA, an estate by the lakefront in the Metairie suburbs, and a beautiful Paradise Park property from the 1870s.

In one episode Brittany helps a couple where one partner wants a house that reflects the city’s historic architecture while the other wants something more modern. In another episode, she guides a couple — the husband wants a big home for the family and is ready to move to the outskirts but the wife wishes to stay within the city’s confines.

However, Brittany’s responsibilities do not end here. Apart from helping her clients scour for homes in the city, she also guides them in securing the best deal for their old homes. She, alongside her crew, uses her expertise to introduce subtle, as well as, extensive modifications to her customers’ current properties — so that they stand a chance in the competitive real estate market.

Across the episodes, we follow Brittany as she incorporates some “snazzy new pieces and colors to the home in order to create a Crescent City-inspired aesthetic” — according to HGTV. Among the properties overhauled by Brittany and her agency, there’s a historic home and then a condo, to give you a few examples.
